i simply loved this manga!! Asuka is so freakin' adorable!! I really want to pinch his cheeks I loved the fact that it was a girly shoujo manga and the lead was a male. Kanno Aya-sensei pulled it off pretty to me. Great manga!! i need to buy vol. 6 and 7 desprately!
How many times must he confess before she gets it? Well I guess I don't mind, love watching the mangaka friend with Ryou-kun and Asuka-chan hahaha. I'm definitely going out and buying the licensed version!
What I love: how the mangaka throws away the cliches by making the protagonist a guy, make that a girly guy who ends up loving a tomboy-ish girl. He looks manly and does many manly acts but he blushes, cooks, and sews stuff in an extremely cute way. And that's... cute, but weird. I keep expecting him to take off his wig and announce that he's a girl.
What I don't like: the slight shounen-ai touches in this. This Asuka person has so many potential lovers!!! And 90% of them are guys. That's right: he's a guy magnet just as much as he's a chick magnet. it's weird. But also hilarious.
It's so funny how the guy tries to be "manly" despite of his love for cute stuff. It's kinda similar to Boku to Kanojo no XXX but this is so much fun in my opinion. It's light, kinda romantic at times, cool, cute... it's just like rainbow. I read another manga about brothers living together by the same mangaka and it discouraged me from reading otomen at first but I got hook when I read the first chapter. So, give it a try
reading this reminds me of my dad....I love the main character how he acts manly infront of others while having such a girly heart, at some points I thought this was going to take a yaoi turn, but that only made it more fun to read!
I never really like shoujo but this one really grabbed me!!!!!!!!!!
It's soooooooo hilarious I can't stop laughing reading it. But it also has some meaning to say, people has the right to be whoever they wanted to be ^^
And the story is not cliche like other shoujos too, it's so unpredictable, even the first chapter surprise me!
haha xD gosh why is this manga so friggin' hilarious? XDDD itz somehow way diff than those typical shoujo manga I usually read n gawd XDD I had to laugh so hard on each chap XD
I really like the drawing and the the otomen/girly guy looks good same with his friend, the one who writes and draw shoujo mangas. I'm just impatiently waiting for the romance to start between the main girl and guy! The story is different, it doesn't seem to be typical. At first, i thought it would be shounen ai or something but it's not, it's just about a girly guy who's trying to hide his true identity and he has a secret crush on a girl, who is also his friend and it goes on from there but it's really interesting! I can't wait for more!
I love Kanno Aya's artwork. It's beautiful, of course, and the pictures are very consistent and er.. "read nicely".
However, I was expecting more from the story, because "Forever Honey" was so nice and deep. Maybe I'm being biased, because I prefer stories with female leads and would've given this manga a higher rating if the gender roles were switched.. But minus that, the story is just really bland. It's lacking something that I can't quite put my finger on.
EH... how should I put it? Hmmm... Well I kinda want to know how will this manga end, But I didn't get attached to it. Things go unsually smooth(even for a shoujo manga), maybe that is why it's not so interesting. Cute, yeah, but nothing more...
