you shouldn't read this with the expectations of fast developments, there are changes and there is a storyline but it takes a long time. wich in my opinion is good. Up till now the comedy has never failed to give me a good laugh and it's great for a change of pace. But I actually buy this manga so I read volume per volume and as for my opinion this is a story wich should be read this way if you read one chapter each month or week then yes it might seem rather slow

I love this manga a loooot! Especially their expressions and all, but why isn't there any developments with the characters? Especially Sunako. She appears glamorous in some chapters and after that, she returns to being the gloomy and horror loving chick. I wished that the mangaka would at least try to change her a bit and what about her relationship with Kyouhei?! Won't there be any romance between the two of them? Although I gotta say, they really suit each other very well.

100 over chapters and no development is just gonna disappoint all the readers! Well, at least not to those who are looking for funny and not much plot manga. I gave it a 9.5 since the art is kinda pretty (no, actually i gave it a 9.5 because of the chibi sunako. >w<)

but all in all, I will continue to read this, hoping for a deeper and great development on the plot as well as the characters!!

We could see some progress. I mean it is good. It is funny. Very funny even. But man... 110 chapters and no progress at all ? She is still the same gloomy character as before (well she can look at the others now, youhou ! ). What about a believable timeline? They must have had at least three halloweens, and they are still in highschool ? Not even seniors ? So how much time has passed ? Are they alternate realities ?

Well you get what I mean. But if you don't fear embarking on a journey that will end in a long time and where there won't be any development until the last volume, which is probably years from now, please go ahead, it is very good.

To be honest I can´t decide whether or not to like this manga.
It surely is different, seeing as the female lead is a girl who you think just jumped out of a horror movie. I really loved that. The fact, that this manga, even though being a shojo, seemed so much different from all the others I had read, so I was really excited at first. But this excitement soon ebbed away, because if there is a manga out there that deserves the term "too dragged out" it is this manga.
I really tried to give this manga a try and the first few chapters were really amazing, but after a while I just couldn´t continue on. I started again and again, but there was a point were one just stopped reading, because it became so boring and seemed like any other adventure manga, where just nothing happened at all and it felt like the mangaka just kept on writing for the sake of doing something. When is it going to be finished?
All in all this isn´t one of my favourites, the artwork is ok, but nothing really eyecatching. Still you should give it a try at least, because the story is different, funny and hilarious, while also teaching you something about tolerance.

Though not one of the most eloquent of mangas, it has it charm. It's offbeat and highly amusing-- a great read while waiting for releases. The art is adorable, especially the chibis. Recommended for readers who want a break from their usual categories. (Unless you go for these regularly.)

Amazing Series!

I swear, this series is proboably the best I have ever read! The main character is not one of those crybaby, dramatic, way-too-pretty and stupid weak bullshit girl characters but a goth loner who doesn't give a crap about love (which is original and awesome)!!! I respect the fact that she's mostly a chibi character that reverts to her original form during development moments, but there is just a few flaws. The boys are WAY too femenine and are pretty big drama queens that cry for the dumbest reasons and even have a few gay moments with eachother. I'm just glad that Sunako might end up with the most manliest of them all, Kyohei. Another problem is the fact that the manga-ka couldn't stop complaining in the extras. She's always being a very sad-sack who couldn't say anything positive about her work. An lately, Sunako has not been getting any attention in the chapters. It's lately only about the boys and their own problems. I mean, in book 12 or something Yuki took over two whole chapters with his girlish problems and crybaby emo moments, leaving Sunako alone in the darkness that they have to work hard to get her out of (it's as if the author forgot who the main character was). And Takenaga and Noi: WE GET IT. THEY LOVE EACHOTHER AND NOW THEY ARE TOGETHER. WE DON'T NEED ANYMORE CHAPTER BASED ON THEM! Where is Kyohei and Sunako? Screw the "already couple", screw the "little whiner with zero confidence in him/herself", and screw the "pop-diva prince". WE WAN'T THE BISHI AND THE GOTH TOGETHER!!!! But aside from those controversies, this series is the only manga series that's actually been able to make me laugh out loud. The comedy is extremely fresh and the plot is perfect for this kind of genre. It's also very surprising in many parts and I'm always looking foreward to the misadventures of Sunako and the "Creatures of the Light". Read it. You'll adore it. I know you will ^_^

even though the story is moving ever so slowly, i love this manga. it really is refreshing after reading dark or lovey dovey mangas. even though there isn't that much romance, it makes you appreciate it much more when there is, also the moments are soo cute. anyway i love sunako, different form all those shy and extremely pretty girl that has every guy liking her. its funny, so give it a chance.

I'm very intrigued by this manga but At the same time it's too slow in terms of where this author is trying to take it.. Art is not great but I kinda like it still.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
a goth, loner, awkward girl is forced to live at her aunts mansion with 4 guys. The aunt is never there so they run amuck all over the place and end up going on different adventures. They are all there because of different circumstances. The main deal is they have to transform this girl into a lovely chick if they want to live there rent free. One boy in particular takes a big interest in it.. It is now developing into a bit of a connection between the two that they are too silly to get. The last chapter they are trying to celebrate the New Year together as just the close friends and one of them gets a huge crab. They are super excited but hundreds of girls come to crash the party and they have no choice but to evacuate. The girl forgot her skulls though and has to go back. She then realizes how important the crab is for the boys so she tries to save it from the girls. The guy saves her and they run away together and end up having an oblivious romantic embrace while watching the fireworks. They all end up at the spa where they enjoy the crab and some relaxation time.

Although it's getting boring I still enjoy reading this manga quite a lot .

First a manga, then a anime' now a drama!

I must say that at first i wasn't really into the series as i only saw the covers in the bookstore. Than a little later someone recommend it to me and told me what it was about. Later, I get a Dvd preview of random ep which show the wallflower on it, and with some more info from a friend i decide to finally give it a shot, After watching the first ep with my sister, i fell in love it and decided to buy the anime and it was awesome. After that I bought the manga and i still love it even now. Then i just recently found out that they made a drama and i got very excited cause i don't normally watch dramas but for this series i was willing to give it a shot. Now after I just finish watching it, i have to put this in my top favorites manga series.

I love the lessons and morals of each chapter and ep that come with this story on how to be a lady. Characters are all different in there own little way and share a bond that can never be broken.

As for the artwork kellykei, this artwork is not bad, it just that some people would think they look like girls when there not, otherwise it very beautiful.

The girl in this series is different, not innonce and not stupid (in fact very smart and good at cooking) and likes horror stuff that makes her different and the 4 boys are trying to change in order to get their free rent by becoming a lady, which people complain about but I don't understand why. People hate stupid, wimpy heroines in story but now there's a different one and now people don't like it? Make up you mind!

As for the manga being to long... I love that it is cause i wanted the anime and drama to continue but didn't which I find very sad but at least the manga keeps it alive but I do hope that it ends beautifully.

Not only does this story has lessons but it pack full of comedy and fun that keeps you wanting more, especially with the main heroine who can't seem to get herself out of trouble. It also has romance that is very cute to watch as you read it. I wish this series made a movie or 2nd season of either the anime or drama. I must say that Sunako's personitly is quite similar to Sawako in Kimi ni todoke who also like horrors and is changing both inside and out.
I higly recommend this series to you for i fell in love with it. So don't judge a book by the cover or artwork cause it's all about the fun and plot.
