Naruto happens to be a very interesting manga with a good dynamic on fighting and storyline. The plotline itself is adaptable and has repositioned itself a couple times over which is impressive.
My only problem is its length and that there will be a need for good ideas. Already in the country of origin there are 45 volumes, which happens to be alot of chapters. I really hope that the artist/writer is able to maintain this level of quality throughout the series.

I used to really like this but its gotten so unbearable. At the beginning the story had a solid foundation "I'm gonna be a hokage" but about a hundred chapters in a villian pops up, then about another hundred chapters in some traitor pops up, then about another hundred or so chapters a secret organization of superhumans show up (they get pounded by 13 year old kids who look older than me...) and then about another hundred or so chapters in....well thats how far it is. Not worth the time. The manga should have ended 16 volumes and it wouldve been great but new plots kept popping up left and right...like bunnies! Well thats the opinion of an 18 year old but i was really intrested 3 years ago so if your 15 or younger, knock yourself out and try it. What really boils me is that this is intended for younger people yet they try to cram romance into it. Its like its promoting love between 10 year olds.

You cannot call a series that is still going strong after 10 years and 50 friggin volumes overrated and even if you can I'm sorry but i cannot accept your pov on this.
If I had to go around rating and slating every shoujo manga I dared read, my mind would blow up with the negativeness.
Long story short don't judge it by the first volume. Its not a perfect series by any means but don't go bashing on Naruto just because its cool to nowadays. I've read all of the manga seen the anime(not the fillers of course) and I like the series omg wow!
P.S I also read skip beat and thought it was quite good.

As someone that started with the Naruto anime I have to say the manga is a rather big improvement, it still takes forever for anything to happen but at least the manga goes a lot faster plot progression wise, if you haven't read/seen Naruto yet it's by far one of the better shounen manga around.

When I first heard about it I was an avatar fan and avatar had ended and I didn't want to watch it.my friends said it was good so I decided to watch it but I started from shippuuden season 6 .I didn't understand anything at first but I was soon absorbed into the characters ,plot and everything especially sasuke.I tried reading the manga but it isn't m thing so I only watch the anime which I love but I'm generally a shounen fan.this anime was my first and it's the anime that drew me into the world of anime and manga when I got my first manga book.naruto shippuden manga.It's like the father of all mangas and to me it's the most popular followed b bleach.

Naruto is still the best of the Big 3 Aka One piece Bleach and of course Naruto. The only reason its rating was going down is because 1 troll made a comment about not liking Sasuke and it all went from hell there. Then suddenly every1 is changing there ratings and other trolls started making accounts and rating low. Any1 can spot a troll easy on Naruto forums or even on this site do to ther ignorance of the story such as O i read the first 30 ch and gave up but then they go and judge the whole 546 chapters based on the first 30? wtf lol. yah lets not forget the ignorance of trolls such as "Naruto finds enemy, gets his ass kicked, trains, ass kicked again, Sasuke either wins or follows suit with Naruto and them he goes fox" im looking at this like wtf are u reading lawl. Read naruto and follow Sasukes story closely hes a very very interesting char. there is nothing cliche bout this manga and the Believe it! stops 50 ch into it. We see both of them grow up and all the beginning questions and plots come together. People hate Sasuke becuz he can do what they cant simply put. He doesnt let people hold him down MUAHAHAHAHAH >.>

that was so touching i started crying at ch. 398 onwards to Itachi Uchiha's story behind his purposes. i was quessin that he did that 'becos of his brother when i heard itachi saying that he will always be the wall for sasuke to climb but i didn't that it was this touching T.T

I always thought that to create some awesome everlasting stories you must have lot of interesting character, history of the realm, some catchy identification of the realm itself and much more. this series simply have that element.

this series is OVERRATED!
don't read this manga or watch this anime
this series could wash your brain!, i'm sure!

this Naruto suck!...

Some people hate Naruto, some people love it. The way I see it? I see the people who like One Piece or Bleach more simply because they started with that series first. As such, I started with Naruto first, though I have read the other two as well. Naruto seemed to identify with me more then the others and I think it had more character development. The character's didn't just have a goal of defeating an enemy, saving a comrade, or a treasure they wanted to find. The character Naruto had a goal in his life. The thing that's defining about Naruto as a whole is that you feel that the character is evolving, not just getting stronger but growing as a person. I think this is what defines not just the character Naruto but the Manga Naruto.
