Description
The "Roman Club", a school group interested in the occult, to which he's practically enslaved, has become boring for one Hideo Aiba. In fact, he finds his entire existence pretty tiresome until, one day, when a girl named Kurumi Sahana shows up and wants to join up. When the two are left alone in the club classroom, Kurumi makes a special "request" of Hideo, which makes him (understandably) freak out. Though he doesn't know what to think, one thing’s for sure, Hideo’s life just became anything but boring.

A strange one, this is.

It's got nipples (kind of). It's got cameltoes. It's got tents. It's also got a somewhat amusing plot.

But I don't know how I feel about it. When it keeps going back to that strange man, I get very, very interested. When I feel like the interactions between the protagonist and the female lead are actually enhancing or progressing their relationship, I'm interested.

But there are times where such interactions seem to have little worth, though every encounter really does add to the continuity (there's no magic reset button, like in other comcis). Plus, there are some times when I feel it's getting a little bit too deviant. Urine has never been a turn on for me, for instance.

I'll keep reading this, and on a truescale, where 5 is a mediocre, average comic that you would enjoy...in an average manner, this is a 6 so far.

And I don't know why people are comparing it to Onani Master Kurosawa, because I'm not seeing it.

I have read 4 volumes. Oh, and the art? It leaves much to be desired, though if that's what you judge comics by, you might want to reconsider the worth of your opinions concerning them...

Great manga. It's greatly recommended if you like Nana to Kaoru / Onani Master Kurosawa. Is there anything similar to this ?And this may unlock your hidden interest in S&M which Nana to Kaoru and this making me slightly interested in S&M ....

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I also think that sahana seems to have incurable disease ... But what i think that it's not about having sex and she dies ... I think that it maybe due to some other reasons ...But I do think she also have not much times the previous comment below have almost the same idea as me but slightly different ... Just on my opinion.

This is one of the rare breeds of weird ecchi manga that had the ecchi moments wisely woven with the plot. It's not one of those generics where the ecchi scenes are "accidents" or the heroines assaulting the main character. The main character had to earn those ecchi moments and makes the reader almost as relieved as he succeeds. I kinda admire any guy who could hold it and stay as honest as main character. LOL.

If you liked Nana to Kaoru or Onani Master Kurosowa, then this is a definite must read.

I've read the first volume, and to be honest I was not impressed. The art is not great, and it can even be ugly from time to time.
The combination of perverted pictures and sloppy art is an unfortunate combination.
The relationship between the main characters is also not fun either, the girl is an incredible sadistic tease while the guy is a weak person that gets strung along.

For anyone who hates spoiling, just ignore my comment.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
From current chapter (around 60+), I'm expecting a tragic ending. Sahana seems to have an uncurable disease which having sex means her death. And her time is drawing near...

Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Honestly, at first I thought this was another dumb typical ecchi manga with less than spectacular art with a weak pathetic male lead who gets the hot girl female lead after reading Chapter 1. I actually dropped this for awhile because of this until I decided I'd give it another chance one day. That was when I knew I was totally wrong. This is NOT your typical ecchi manga. There is so much more to this than that. This manga will make you smile and tear and go "WTF IS GOING ON" throughout. You'll go crazy addicted to this manga and just want to find out what happens next. Slowly, you will grow attached to the characters, especially the main character, as you feel and experience the story from his point of view. Give this manga a try, if you don't you are really missing out on a unique, perhaps maybe even life changing experience. As for the art, it gets better after volume 1. Currently, this is my favorite manga ever rgiht now. smile

Hypnotizing .

Edit: This manga started out to me with a very very sad main character. But through all his times, his inability to do anything a normal person should , i started to like his character more and more. Plus he keeps getting better through the series physically and a bit mentally, though he still has his sad attitude but its very entertaining. The characters are quite addicting. As is the story. Its a very simple plot with a small cast of characters, yet you never feel bored. The is this deep attraction you'll feel for the story and characters which i love. The lead is a sad otaku (needs a backbone), the lead female is a very normal teen, though she has a mysterious side that you have to read to find out about. The things the "couple" does are very interesting and entertaining. I've been reading chapters all ways anticipating whats up or whats next. I love the sense of mystery and pain you feel in the series. Though there is still a real deep love between the characters.
the ecchi level isn't set on max but it isn't low. i like how it is shown because it reveals just enough to make you feel just a little bit teased just like the characters. The lead female isn't the most attractive girl, but you cant help but like her. The art isn't amazing but its good and i like it (his friends are the most weirdest looking people ever ahaha)

all in all, the manga has a hypnotizing effect, atleast on me. It's kinda hard to explain. if only the male lead is good and bad at the same time. This manga may reveal your own hidden feelings for S&M LOL. But read this manga if you are just the least bit curious, you just might get hooked. Good read and i think i'm in love.

While the subject matter may not be to everyone's liking, this is definitely not about fan-service and there is truly character and relationship development that seem very real and endearing. Actually, the s&m elements really help express the character's tender trust for each other. Around volume four, the tension ramps up as you can really feel that the characters are really starting to emotionally connect with each other and an overall plot comes into focus more often.

I usually don't post reviews but this is a special case. Sundome is like one of those things in life you know you shouldn't do but you do. I dont think anybody would find it hard to compare reading this manga to any addictive actvity that can harm you. As many comment's before have said somethings you just have to check at the door before you read this manga and at times it gets really hard to read. In the later volumes as you find yourself wincing from the pain. Its very much like watching a slow motion car crash you hope everybody makes it but you just cant be sure. Reading this manga for me was like delving into topics I never wanted to explore to deeply. I found myself conflicted almost all the time. At many points in the story it was very hard for me to sympathize with the main characters as some of the activity they undertake or the way their relationship progresses is just too much to accept. On the other hand when I did sympathize with the main character I felt a little sick cause it made me realize that I could be a little sick too. That being said I say if you have to stomach to read it then do. The story is top notch, the characters are interesting and they don't rely on your sympathy for you to stay with the story, the topics discussed are done in a manner that is frank and downright blunt, the characters have true development and the supporting cast could probably carry a story of their own, At the very least between the pain the lulz can be enough to snap you back to a better place. Just be warned if you feel those "no no no no this cant be right" remember it before you read on cause its just gonna continue.
