Description
From Anime Waves:
Tsukasa, Tajima, Katsu, and newcomer Sae, were all members of the Hentai ShonenDai (Perverted Boy's club) at the tender age of 11. But as they grow older, how will each of their lives change? Will they grow apart, or stay true to the (perverted) passions they shared as kids. D-ASH is a story about the adventures these boys will have trying to grow up as fast as they can, being as naughty as possible all the while.

What A Story

Really. It's just such an interesting story. The romance blossoming between Tsukasa and Sae is just heartwarming. It was quite dramatic in my opinion, and each chapter leaves with a pretty good yearning for the next.
It has some pretty good plot twists and great character development. A nice emotional roller coaster too, I guess one could say.
The artwork is pretty unique and I enjoyed it. It was very different from anything else I had ever seen.
I recommend it.

What can I say? If you're looking at this review right now, you must have questions. Just ignore all the questions and go ahead and read it. For romance and sports genre lovers, this is a must-read. I especially liked the ending.

a short but heartfelt manga

Although it was quite short, D-ASH was truly a roller coaster ride with so many ups and downs throughout. A very touching manga with many heartfelt moments. I didn't feel like the ending was that rushed, I found the last volume very sad but satisfying.

If nothing else, I found D-ASH's portrayal of drama very well done. Skips all the boring parts and gets straight to the point. But I found the whole story so sad... despite the the overcoming of the obstacles. Nevertheless, this manga is very deep in terms of content, and is definitely worth your time.

Not Bad.

It started out really good. There was an equal focus on coming-of-age, growing uo, love and sport. The focus shifted to romance midway through and then mostly sports in the end.

The art is pretty inconsistent, as some reviewers/readers have pointed out. The pacing is pretty good, but I felt they could have made it 6 instead of 5 volumes because the last volume seemed pretty rushed. There wasn't much closure with regards to the many secondary characters.

Some people compare this to Suzuka. Oh Please, anything but that. Suzuka is utter crap from beginning to end. If you do like Suzuka, I guess you're too shallow to enjoy D-ASH.

Just my 2 cents.

Omg the last few chapters seem to follow the same path as Suzuka. Not that i mind, i liked suzuka, and the setting of both manga is kinda similar

A mature look on life's changes. ^_^

Story/Plot:-
This is a brilliant "coming of age" manga about the lives of 4 elementary school kids and how they changed and developed as they grew up.

Artwork:-
The artwork is really inconsistent, where at times it can look superb with detailed character designs and then they're other times when it looks plain sloppy bigrazz

Final Thoughts:-
D-ASH is a very fast paced manga with so many time-skips in the first 2 Volumes that you'll have to constantly assess the changes in the characters lives and personalities. However this is a good thing about the manga with another being that there aren't any noticeable cliches making this feel somewhat refreshing, for a sports romance.

I wish I could edit faster too ;_;

But on a review-like note... this work was written and drawn by two separate people, so unlike many other series I've work on... it isn't a weekly rush from the mangaka to publish a work that would capture the reader's attention via... less than permanent means... Instead, the plot reads like a well done novel, since it was thought out ahead of time, and then the artist takes careful thought into creating a... well... from the reviews of readers... a "good" story ^^;;;

This one's a very good coming-of-age manga. The art isn't too consistent in my taste, but the story is well paced. I just wish the groups would speed up the releases sad

Seriously, this is one good piece of...manga. You can't help but curse at every chapter ending. (I mean this in a good way)

It's kind of a reflection of the youth with their rash judgments, not realizing that their going to regret it later. Well it's their life. C'est lavie.
