THANKS SO MUCH to whoever has been translating the last chapters released...!

In the first 3 volumes the story is quite simple and even raw ... It's mainly about a boy who wishes he was a girl and a girl who likes to dress like a boy. The relationship between the two is rather sweet. I like the characters development very much, specially Shuu's (his dilemmas are very pertaining to his age) but it gets even better, we get to see them growing as they age and experience new emotions. In the 4th volume the author begins to explore the other character more carefully, thus changing the rythm of the story a little bit. But it works. It's awesome to notice little things here and there that show the story is moving ahead, like how Shuu's sister is maturing (physically and personality-wise) and Takatsuki's face is becoming more thin and feminine. I'm really happy another group (whichever it is) decided to take the scanlations up, since Konotoha's not given a sign a life for over 6 months now! I hope we get to read the story all the way until the end!

This is one of the few manga that portray transgendered people in a way that isn't for gag/comedy purposes. It approaches it in a more serious fashion. Also, this is the first manga I've ever read that has an FTM in it, as most have only MTFs.
The drama is a bit annoying sometimes, though, and it is a bit confusing because it often switches focus and time lapses aren't clear.
The art is pretty, though, and it's a good read.

I really love this manga for its simplicity that can be very touching at time. No need for extreme scenarios to deliver a wonderful story. I can relate a bit to Shûichi and Takatsuki to how they feel.

The series sometimes lacks smooth transitions, making it confusing to whether a day has passed or the setting changed. The plot is interesting, however, and the art is pretty nice. However, I've been curious about the main characters sexual orientations (as cross dressing and homosexuality are not synonymous), and I'm afraid that issue may not be cleared up for some time (maybe never, as the children are still rather young).

Topicwise, this isn't the normal sort of manga I'd pick up. However, it has proved very interesting. Someone should really jump on this and get this licensed in the US. It is a must read for open-minded folks and may help understand folks that are different from the mainstream better. To someone that is not so libertarian-minded, this may seem very creepy. To the bigot, this would be propaganda. To me, real people with very real problems.

I love this work.. i have'nt read to many mangas, but definitely this kind of manga is a very rare one, i think the art really matches the story and the pacing. it is strong with its simpicity. I also think it tells story about real problems that often overlooked. On the contrary to some of the comments here, i think this manga should stop without telling us what happened when they grow up, because i think the mangaka wants us to join them in their psychological journey as a kid and how they reach a point where they can find their true self, not about what they become when they grow up. I think how they act, work, etc when they grow up will be put on our own imagination. Well.. at least that what i think... anyway, you should read this manga, especially if you got someone whom you often picked on because they are girlyboys or the other way around.

i felt very catious as I started reading this, the artwork was a li'l bad, and the story rough. But after a few chapters the story developed and characters were more rounded.

So I eventually started to really enjoy this, can't wait for future releases!

This has to be the cutest thing I have ever read. I was unsure about it at first, since I assumed it would be all fluffy, but really it is a great read. I hope the manga-ka has them grown up, because that would be something I would be excited to see.

Heartwarming, genuine and sweet

This has got to be one of the most heartwarming and sweet titles I've ever read. I just can't wait for for Nitori and Takatsuki to grow up!

What will be their trials like? What happiness and sorrow will they experience? Will their parents and family grow to accept them should their secrets be discovered? Or will they be cast out from their families and will their friends refuse to acknowledge them? After all, humans react in different ways for the better or for the worse.

Note: people with anything against transsexuals(aka transgenders) should definitely not read this.

P.S. It might be me but I think a comic like this might never be licensed. It's hard enough for gays to gain acceptance, transsexuals aren't often even accepted by heterosexuals or even the gays.
