Not much to say. Starts funny as a lot of these manga do... and gets annoying pretty fast... and then gets more annoying... and even more... and then boring...

It is just another endless fighting shonen. You'll see the same over and over again for, like, a 1000 chapters, always the same meaningless fighting bs...

Fairy tail is better than one piece in all aspect

no repetitive plots, side characters gets to fight main boss battle unlike OP where luffy hogs all the limelight, cute and beautiful girls unlike Oda's vision of how ugly all girls should look

Fairy Tail >>>>>>>>>>>>> One piece

I would like this manga a LOT more if it had reasons for fighting besides "Nakama." Actually, sometimes it seems like the only noticeable trait of the "bad guys" is that they don't honor friendship, and Natsu goes crazy because "Nakama" is the only word he knows. I am exagerating, but I do feel that this manga focuses on that a bit too much. Other than that (and the occasional overbearing ecchi), I really enjoy this manga. Give it a read.

Okay im not trying to be rude or mean (no offense) BUT WOULD YOU PEOPLE STOP COMPARING FAIRY TAIL TO ONE PIECE AND SAYING ITS BAD!! Its pissing me off, seriously. I love Fairy Tail and One Piece there both my favorite anime/manga of all time! I understand everyone has different opinions on things, but most of the people that diss Fairy Tail always compare it to One Piece. Its fine if you dont like it because the plot is bad or the characters aren't good or if you don't like that genre, but saying that and adding "one piece is much better" or "it will never compare to one piece" etc. is just B.S (excuse my inapropriate language im just REALLY mad that people do this) So its fine to not like Fairy Tail, i have my share of anime/manga i dont like or hate, but comparing Fairy Tail to One Piece and saying you dont like it and that your reason is Fairy Tail is ripping off One Piece is also B.S, Hiro Mashima did not copy One Piece. Fairy Tail is awesome and One Piece is awesome and there both ORIGINAL. So PLEASE im begging you don't compare Fairy Tail to One Piece and then diss off Fairy Tail cause you think its copying One Piece. STOP IT PEOPLE! Gee, thanks to the people that do this kinda thing i don't have time to tell how amazingly awesome Fairy tail is so yeah thanks ):

This manga's pretty funny and cool except a few things...
1- The ecchi is so annoying. You can't just ignore it. I mean, stop with the boobs thing!
2- NAKAMA!!!!!!!! Not everything has to do with friendship
3- How Natsu powers up just by getting mad. I wish maybe something different would happen

Other than that, I like it

So let's take the first chapters - they are pretty fine and funny to read . And then when the manga continue going on ,it's getting only worse . The characters are boring and annouing ,the plot is meaningless and the bad guys are just lame . If you want to compare it to One Piece ,please don't . One Piece is a masterpiece and Fairy Tail is just BAD very bad .
I don't recommand you to read the manga ,but if you love stupid mangas without a point ,go for it.

People say to "give it a chance without comparing it to one piece" but even if you do that the storytelling just sucks. I especially despise the fighting scenes. It has it's moments though and the humor is good but other than that it has nothing really going for it. The friendship theme is portrayed pretty shallow, though the idea in itself is good.

EDIT: so I watched the anime and for some reason I like it better than the manga, anyway. ( maybe something with putting it into motion?) The storyline is still bad but I get the emotions better in the voice acting than with the reading so I get attached to the characters more. Same with the action scenes but of course shonen action gets better with actual motion. It's not the best but I like it. Good luck mangaka!

The series jumps from arc to arc with no real plot. Power up then beat bad guy, power up then beat bad guy: that's basically what this series is. Read this series if you have nothing better else to read.

for me. it's really a great manga. coz it's a lot of fun and Natsu's a very funny guy. And my classmates really love it too. And sometimes, they're making me sick, coz they always talk about it all day long. before class, during snack time, lunch break, after class and even when we go home... it sometimes makes me irritated, but it's a lot fun coz the story itself is really awesome, and really amazing..,,,,.... but sometimes the story goes not so nice.. that's why , I look for another manga series. But I admit it, lot of people- kids, boys, girls, and even though adults, really like it too. But, its sometimes a kind of weirdo, coz maybe i'm a bit bored with it...
I really like it too. coz it makes me happy, and it's really funny.

I really enjoy this series. It has many good qualities, from amazing powers, to exotic locations, to unique and interesting characters. I disagree that this is only a fight manga designed for teenagers, I'm in my twenties and I still like it. I've yet to read a story arc that wasn't important to the story, be it for the development of key characters or to the ultimate evil that is hinted at several times. If you're looking for a good action adventure story with a healthy dash of comedy then look no further. If its not for you, then fine just don't be a jerk about it
