i am hooked!
in the beginning it was kind of slow, but after a couple of chapters you get to see more of the characters and it gets really good. you should try it!
its different from anything i've read so far, which is probably what interested me from the start

easily enters my top 10 manga's. you've seen the comments, it's definately worth the read, art, story both unique. the anime is quite good but rapidly deteriorates but still better than some others.
i wonder why it's compared to berserk though, berserk a vol32+ manga with complicated characters and all_time favourite villians (G*****N), Claymore is good, probably has the necessary ingredients to reach the stage where it can command respect in the manga world - dark fantasy.
..but atm it isn't there yet so i'll give it an 8.5, and definately recommend it

A beautifully drawn manga, with an original plot, character developement, and good fightining scenes. Never gets boring. Highly recommended.

This manga is great series, look forward to releases all the time.
Its quite unfortunate what they did to the ending of the anime version though...

Great art overall. The art style Yagi Norihiro developed since Angel Densetsu has fully matured in this manga. The story itself is good but it really picks up later on.

The main character is the best example of strong female protagonist I've seen to date. (AKA- She isn't a man with breasts and she isn't a weak willed emotional wreck.)

edit: Warning for the impatient- This series is full of cliffhangers.

awsome. Just give it a try, I did and now I regret not reading it earlier. Won't say you'll love it or hate it because well, I'm not you, but it's just a story that should be tried.

Expected more from author of Angel Densetsu. But this is just another fighting manga even if above average. Entertaining, but to compare with Berserk? Forget it.

And nude borrowings. Certainly Berserk (at least big sword and supernatural monsters (meaning - where did they get mass?)), Parasyte (or Baoh?) with those body deformations, Blame! (committee, some of monsters just too alike), Wandemeeru no Tsubasa (few first pages, but ...). Sure to find more with patience.

Well... In the end i come to liking it though.

I really didn't think I would get to like this, but I have. I can't say its good as some other dark fantasy out there like Berserk, but its still top notch.

The thing is that - You have to make it past the teresa part. once you're through that, you'll be completely hooked =D that's around ep 5 for the anime i think.. Claymore is fantastic XD i love the art work and galatea is hot ;)

NightSwan I respect your opinion and I like the fact you didn't trash talk it to death. I agree claymore is nothing like Berserk and can never be compared to it(Berserk is just too Godly =D). And the theme between them is really different. But I liked claymore and I would recommend people to watch it.
