I'm actually looking for a romance manga to read. I've read a few before but stop because the ones I've read soo filled with unrealistic situations, annoying useless protagonist and overall I just got tired of it all. I'm sure they aren't all like this so I'm looking for some suggestions.

But, I am looking for something without the following things in the story:

Harem/Revers Harem
Useless/Stupid protagonist
Love triangle with childhood friend and new awesome person
High School romance
I prefer the series not having a chapter where they go to the beach/hotspring/pool

Those are a few things that annoy me. Basically I'm looking for a more mature romance between adults or college students but I don't mind a high school one if its really good. I also don't mind if its shounen or shoujo, or if main character is male or female.

Try not-smut josei and non-ecchi seinen romance. Few have the ubiquitous cliches of shoujo and shounen.

I second Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan and Kimi wa Petto

Men's Kou--ok it is highschool romance and beginning is kinda average but give it time. try to read the first 6 chapters. I thought it was ok at the beginning but after a couple of chapters thought it was awesome because it was kinda unpredictable. So yea give it a try.

A lot of good ones on akari's list. Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan, Nodame (or atleast the anime), Emma, Hotaru no Hikari and Kimi wa Pet are all great choices.
