Yo I'm working my way through different genres now I'm positive I've read every shoujo out there and I've decided to go with tragedy which I usually x from my searches.
Only problem is I hate tragedies.
So I was hoping some people could recommend a tragedy to me, possibly a psychological kinda manga with romance in it.
I must insist however that the romance side of the manga must have a happy ending, I absolutely hate it when a love interest dies or they have a kid and it dies or they die together nothing like that.
Obviously the death of other characters are fine, and any amount of other horrible content (wouldn't be a tragedy otherwise) but I can't read something that ends with nothing if you get what I mean.

I'm not really into romance but D-ASH is what have both romance and tragedy and it's not too forced. Perhaps you've read it already if not then try.

Full Moon Wo Sagashite : about a girl with a throat condition who meets two shinigami who tell her she has a limited amount of time left to live, so, with their help, she tries to live out her dream. it's funny, and though it deals with tragic events and great sadness, it also makes you laugh. Romance is a big part of the storyline.

Nana : maybe not exactly tragic, but some hard things happen....kay, never mind, later on it gets pretty sad. about two girls named nana who become friends and their lives (mostly centered around these two bands-one of them one nana sings for, the other one, the other nana falls for one of the guitar players). Definitely a lot of romance in this one, as well as friendships and stuff like that. sad things happen, but you don't mind it because it just makes the story more interesting. By the way, I'm still not sure which guy the main character is going to end up with, and it's up to 84 chapters now.

Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden : Not sure why this one is labled tragedy-theres probably a reason i'm just not thinking of- but its about a girl who falls into another world where she meets this guy who can shange into a woman and embarks on a journey. i'm not sure how the romance ends, but i doubt it ends sadly. this manga isn't dark enough for that.

Hitsuji no Uta - although contrary to all the advice in the comments, you should read the last chapter.

Would you be fine with oneshots? Because if so, I have some good recommendations for you. Oneshot tragedies have great impact for me especially if they are well-made. The shortness of it makes you want more and at the same time leaves your heart in dismay because of the delivery. And in some works(like mugen dokei), they are heart-wrenching.

Nageku Shinigami
Yume Kurai
Mugen Dokei
Bokura o Tsunaide.
Half & Half

I think yume kurai and mugen dokei were made by the same author, SAITOU Ken. He has his own style that twists and suffocates your heart and yet touches you with sweetness.

These oneshots all contradict your requests except bokura o tsunaide. HOWEVER, the reason for the tragedies in these stories are for character development and for them to open their eyes. That's the beauty I see in tragedies.

I'll edit this if any more enter my mind.

Thanks for all the awesome suggestions.
Yes one shots are absolutely fine.
And please remember that the romance has to end well, I don't like death between the main characters.
