A manga where the protagonist denies the honor to be the savior or a hero, just because he/she doesn't care what will happen to the ones asking him or because he/she have his own goal that he/she wants to achieve - for instance he is passing by a burning village attacked by a band of thieves but instead rushing to help, he/she quietly continues his/hers journey unconcerned about the faith of the residents of the village - quite the opposite of Heroic age, Samurai 7 age or the most shounen manga out there. Example: Claymore, there was a moment like the one I mentioned above in Princes Mononoke
Spoiler (highlight to view)
where the protagonist attacked the only the samurai that attacked him
. It doesn't have to be fantasy and no yuri/yaoi, shounen/shoujo ai and hentai pleace.
Thank you in advance smile

You can try Übel Blatt.
It's not that he denied the honor of a hero, but he was betrayed by his teammates and was made to be a villain-type.

Well in Bloody_Monday_2 he doesn't want to 'hack' to help save passengers on an airplane that's outta control, sorta what you mentioned.
I didn't bother mentioning the first Bloody Monday because he doesn't not 'hack' but it might make more sense reading both.
