Mmm... I bet this topic is going to end up being a discussion of how crappy George Bush is. I have a question though. War is something extreme on the negative end, and should normally only be employed as a last resort. But, if the terrorists weren't taken down, isn't it probable that they would continue their attacks more openly and at larger scales than they do now?

I don't exactly know all the details since I never studied politics, but I would think that it would be difficult to try to negotiate with extremist groups that view all Americans as pigs who have defiled their God, and should all die. It's hard to negotiate with any religious extremist groups =/ And, if we left them to do as they please, then they would probably continue to carry out that goal, which they seem to view as the will of God.

Well, that's really the only thing I'm confused about right now. Once again, I'm not saying that decision was right, I'm just asking what better solutions might be. I don't really know what else Bush did, so I can't really say if he's good or bad. It's just that this issue is usually used against politicians of both sides of the border.

I doubt that, we've had worse presidents. The only difference bwtween Bush and those presidents are that those presidents caused trouble IN the country while Bush causes trouble OUT of the country

President George W Bush is not qualified to run a country. He is an utter failure as a president…I don’t understand, does he know what he’s actually doing? I guess he doesn’t understand that he is supposed to be running AMERICA not the world. He didn’t have to start the war in Iraq or Afghanistan. He should only care about his country, not any other. Starting a war right after 9/11 was a bad move. What's worse he started the Iraq war by lying to his people! I think an important quality a president should have is to be able to make decisions, and clearly he lacks that talent. He is not aware that a war can actually have drastic effects on the world. I don't understand how he can live, knowing he is the cause of several deaths. He's caused many thousands of deaths in Iraq and of many American soldiers. I really think he should get his act together. Basically, he did't do his job… I can not believe he got reelected. It’s unbelievable that he has such strong support. Whatever…all I know is that there can be no other president in history that is worse than this president.

****sry it's so long...maybe some of the things I'm saying don't make sense.....but i really hate this dude. Ughmad !!!*********

He isn't as bad as people make him out to be, sure he isn't the best ( by a long shot) but he's definetly not the worst. I found theat most of the people that bitch and moan about bush didn't vote...If you didn't vote you have no right to complain mad

"A good president is a dead president" to quote my history teacher. He doesn't make good decisions, have his 'intelligent' momentss (my favourite - 'the French don't have a word for enterpreneur' or something like that) but as kaerfehtdeelb (damn, took me ages to spell that bigrazz) those who didn't vote don't have a right to complain, so I'm not complaining bigrazz.

Obviously, I couldn't vote, mainly because I'm not even American. Whatever, that's not the point. But I think that even though I didn't vote....I have the right to complain. His stupid actions are affecting people around world....If his actions were only affecting Americans then i would have no right to complain. Frankly, I wouldn't even care.

@xoXAkaneXox: Bush actually made a very smart decision by going to war after 9/11. People were scared and, paranoid as Americans are, they saw Bush as their savior so that when he said he'd get rid of big bad Osama all cheered for him

Also i may agree that he is megalomaniac but you americans shouldn't complain. Just the sheer millions you people have made with Iraqi oil has probably given quite the boost to your companies (not even gonna bother refering the weapon manufacturers). And he did delay the terrorist threat a bit... Well i guess what he did was the right thing but the why and how he did it jus sucks ass...

Mind ya i'm saying this but i hate the man just as much as any would.

George W bush is GREAT!

At showing how America cares more about name and popularity, instead of leadership and political clout.

you know, you people do realise that BOTH george w. bush (sr & jr) put america into a war in the middle east and lost. i understand the need to retaliate but is he (GWB jr.) really doing if for us, the citizens or for the much needed oil fields? As for voting, i would like to input that i didn't vote for him the first or the second time... and frankly, i'm glad that he isn't able to run for office ever again.

FDR put the Japanese in internment camps, Bush went to war with a country run by a group who claimed to attack our country. i don't see how he is automatically the worst president ever because some of his decisions didn't pan out. I don't like him as a president either, but still, post 9/11 im sure he was at a loss as to what to think like most people were. So when a group of known terrorists who reside in Afghanistan say, "oh yah we did that" I'm sure he felt the need to retaliate. I disagree with a lot of his policies, but i think he gets a hard rap for doing something that a lot of people initially supported. Just my two cents. biggrin
P.S: If any of you haven't heard him speak, hes much better than the small clips you see on TV. charisma doesn't always carry over onto TV very well.
