Yo does somebody know if bamboos can grow right beside a lake? I mean really close to the water, cause I heard bamboos don't like wet roots so logically they don't grow so well there right?

What makes me unsure is that I think I've seen them do grow beside a lake, but my memory is too vague.

Thanks.

They grow fine as long as they are not flooded. They don't grow anywhere near water with high salt content though :3

What are the most valuable materials made by non-human life forms?

Example being: Edible-nest Swiftlet's edible nest. "A kilogram of white nest can cost up to $2,000 USD, and a kilogram of red nests can cost up to $10,000 USD." Used to make soup. Expensive soup.

I'm not sure a bout the most expensive one, but:
- Yartsa Gunbu,$15/g, is a type of caterpillar that will morph to grass-like plant at winter, and is a popular ingredients for Chinese medicine.
- Rhino horn, $110/g
- Safron, $11.13/g

Gah, I'm the last poster for the last two days? Just when I want to ask something trivial...
Anyway, I'm looking for an article where they mention that the concept of all human has to get proper living only exist recently, and in ancient times poverty is used as a tool to control the mass/citizen.

Yeah, I know that there is already a dyed hair thread:http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=15631

But what I'm asking is, how often do you dye Your hair(for people that dyes Hair)??

Well, I dye my hair every 1 and 1/2 months everytime I'll get my haircut (and I Want to dye it With different color every time), do you guys think that it is safe, or is it bad for the hair?? And no, I'm not gay or something, I'm just following trends or something..

OH, And I always go to salons to get my hair cut and dyed, doing it by yourself is just so taxing, and I don't wanna mess up in doing it..

THANKS.

Heeeyy... So like, a couple years ago I was watching some TV show like, Modern Marvels or something, and it had an episode on Swords. In the episode there was some section showing a swordsmith who was making some reeeaaaalllly expensive swords, putting swords into furnaces for several days / a week or something each time, and he was hammering grooves into the tip of the sword not for decoration but to help deflect the blows. I think it said he was trying to re-create a damascus sword, as opposed to a damascened sword / modern damascus sword. Idk how to explain it well ,_,
The tip looked kind of like dis...

Yeah. This isn't much to go on but if it rings a bell could anyone tell me the episode or who was making them? Yup.

Knightzomegaz, I dye my hair every 1/2 ~ 2 months too... I don't know what you are asking when you questioned about being good or bad for the hair (the fact you dye it or the fact you dye it in different colors). Anyway, it is bad for the hair if you color it, yes, but not to the point you have to stop doing it. Just... Coloring can dry the hair (permanent color and bleach in particular), also those who color it without doing the skin test and get a rash after that, also hair breakage... etc etc. But I never had a problem with it, just take care of it with good products. For coloring in different colors, I guess it is a not problem you use different colors, it only depends on how you are doing it (using bleach to get blond and methylene blue for blue hair is complicated, because it damages the hair a little...).

Oh, finally, I got my answer.. Uhm, thank you so much.
What I'm asking is, is it worse coloring it with different color every time than just the same color??

Thanks again..

I don't think it is. If you are using the same product but in a different color I guess it is fine (I used to color my hair brown, than red and now orange, using the same kind of product). But, depending on the color, it will be hard to color it again... If you color it black, it will be hard to change to blonde next time, so you will have to use another products, like bleach, and that can dry the hair a little. So, I color my hair in different colors, but they are easy colors to change... the problem is: if you dye in a different color and have to use bleach every time or another strong product, that will be bad.

Oh,, thank you again... Well, my hair color at the moment is pretty light (like your example http://marcelaboechat.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/bianca-2.jpg
So I don‘t think that they‘d bleach it anymore..
And I think that I once searched that the hair colors that are very hard to change are black and red??

Ehe, found someone to talk about hair dyeing...

Red isn't that hard to change seeing as it fades A LOT. (I like dying my hair red, and it's hard to keep red), but probably makes it harder to get the exact color you want.

Black however is the worst color to try to change from. Do Not dye your hair black unless you want to keep it black for a long time, or until you feel like cutting all the dyed black hair leaving only your natural hair color.

Changing from black is possible, but I believe does a lot of damage to your hair because you would have to bleach it in order to lighten it for another color.

I‘d say that this is not an option for most males, I don‘t grow my hair that much..

What are the rarest hair color that you guys have seen in real life??, yes, not some actors or singers, just some normal people..
