I like the ones where a girl goes to another world/time and falls in love with a guy in the other world/time. Sometimes (FY) the main heroine goes back to her own world and she misses her 'hero' very much, so they'll find a way to get together, even though they live in 2 different worlds/times. OR, the girl will stay in the other world/time.
I really love shoujo manga's where the girl goes to another world or time. Too bad there aren't that many. no

I like the plots where the guy is a cold to basically everyone except maybe his close friends, and the main girl sticks up to his bad attitude, and they eventually fall in love. I like them better when he falls in love first, but either way, i love it smile

i haven't read too much shoujo, but for some romances... my favorite type is when two people find out they love each other, but immidiately have to part ways! i must be a sucker for the bitter-sweetness of failed love Lol. why do i even like that stuff.

Personally, I like step- siblings. But most of all, I like romance type where the girl are rather special, not just some typical, crybaby high schooler, the main character should have an attitude ( more like personality ! )
And the boy, should be more caring about the girl but in a cool way, rather then the girl kept on chasing the boy all the ways through the manga and they start falling in love.
Usually, I would want to read what happen after they fall in love, not when they first meet and start falling in love. Cause it took too long for their development!!

I'd like a simple romance plot where there are no triangles, squares, quadruples or what not. I hate those indecisive character, just pick one already hmph... Series like Koukou Debut and W Juliet are the best and has the kinda plot i love the most. Although there are hints of triangles in Koukou Debut, it was toned down by Haruna's love for Yoh which might be a lil bit too overwhelming at times like when she couldn't face Yoh for days after their first kiss bigrazz .

Oh one of my fav. plot also would be love between older girl with younger guys. I dunno why but everytime read manga like that it taste a whole lot sweeter hehe...

it's like you jumped in my head....pulled out my thoughts, and typed before i could.....on the real, i agree 100%....i love characters like Haruna that dont go and fuck up the relationship by falling into a love triangle, Yoh as well......dam i love that manga

Guy is head over heels in love with a thick-headed girl. Examples: Special A, [m]Kaichou wa Maid-sama[/m], some other ones.

Yep, I like that kind, too. I love it when the guys falls in love first and has to work hard for the girl's affection. That's the kind of romance I like in real life. biggrin

And I like plots where the focus isn't just on the two main characters, where there's maybe a non-romance related problem, like volleyball in Crimson Hero

Totally

I like the type in which a hot guy likes his best friend who's a girl. Or the reverse. Both are awesome! biggrin
I totally hate love triangles, squares, etc because I feel really bad for the one who's left behind. cry
Another type is the one in which the guy is like this super popular person and this girl (she has a personality, of course!) who comes out of nowhere and stands up to him. And yeah, the whole "hate-at-first-sight" thing, I find it really fun. And then as time passes by they get closer to each other and fall in love and then deny the fact whenever it is brought up.
I hope someone understands what I mean.

Just a normal, UNPREDICTABLE, slice of life, no supernatural powered, non-action-filled, drama leading manga. Like...Tenshi ja Nai!! or Saboten no Himitsu? I mean, I love the romance that forms between the characters, and they aren't that cliche either. I love the female leads too, like, they aren't good-for-nothing nobodies who can't even tie up their on show laces. The guys aren't suckish "oooh look at me I'm a so-called mr popular prince who is going to pick the dumbest and typical cute girl out of all the girls in my school, because I can do everything; cooking, sewing, sports, work..you name it" urrrr....like a guy like that is seriously going to come along and pick a random fan-girl who is so called "different"...what, because shes dumb? Well, anyway, enough of me ranting. Crossroad, Akuma to Love Song, Aishiteruze Baby and Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari are other manga series I have totally adored. I read alot of tragedies too. I also don't mind mangas like Sprout where the guy already has a girlfriend..BUT, the girl isn't typical, and there isn't always "stupid soppying" happy endings. I also like complicated romances like Bokura Ga Ita too because you can really think about the manga and reflect back on it. SO, do you see the difference between them, and typical cliche shoujo that's not worth reading but you just can't help but pick it up and read it to see how stupid the next girl is and how "impossible" the guy is anyway?

Hmmm...I like it when the girl isnt as dumb or unsmart as other shoujo manga heroines and also not a tomboyish looking gal and the guy is a cool, friendly, happy chap and there are two guys and a girl. I like it when the guy and girl fight a lot at the beginning. And they arent childhood friends or met anytime when they were kids (that aspect is just dumb). I like plots when guy and girl are thrown together in situations and the guy is the first to fall for the other. Ultra sensitive naive girl is a huge turn off.

I also like shoujo mangas where guy is not ur typical bishounen. I esp like delinquent guys and a smart gal (even if she's violent, its cool).

A plot where you just don't know who will end up with who...

Yeah, those are the best. Out of all the romance mangas I've read I can only think of Fruits Basket, Enchanter and Absolute Boyfriend. I also like the whole "falling in love with your enemy but don't know it's your enemy" theme, like Basara.

I like the medium-paced, deep romance plots, where the characters after a while seem to just "fall" into place and events places them there permanently.

where the heroine isn't the same as the other girls (as in can fight, doesn't spend her life fantasizing about boys and doesn't cry every second or care much for her appearance) and there's one special guy who, even though many girls like him, he starts to fall for the 'unique' girl (he is kinda like her meaning a little rough around the edges) kinda like in Perfect Girl Evolution (only a little more romance between main characters) eyes

I'd like to see progression between the main couple... not just, OHMIGOSH -- he picked up my eraser with a charming smile!
I love love triangles!! But 90% of the time, I find myself cheering for the guy who most likely won't get the girl =(
I like drama, if a manga can make me cry, then there's no way I'd dislike it--well, as long as the reason for my crying wasn't because my favourite character died or something...
I like twists, no I LOVE twists. The unpredictable rules! But it has to be a planned twist, something that makes me say: "Oh, now I get why she/he did that before."
And I like slice of life more than fantasy =|

yeah.
