Hi, guys! Recently, I've been trying to look for mangas with a tsundere male lead (I absolutely adore them) and falls for the female lead first. I'm sort of tired with female leads falling in love first and instead I'm looking for strong female protagonists who are not necessarily cold, but rather hard to get and not annoyingly blushing all the time (super dense or "i-don't-need-a-man, doesn't really matter)

I think a perfect example for this is Last Game.
Nanaco Robin? Or even Charming Junkie.

I've read that one a long time ago and I was just thinking about how I wanted to read it again after reading your suggestion. The main female lead's one of those hard-to-find worthy protagonists which is what I'm definitely looking for in shoujo mangas.


Thank you very much! I am actually reading Kaichou wa Maid-sama but I don't think the male protagonist is a tsundere-- it's more like the female lead's the tsundere. Plus, recently cool males bore me (wow that sounds so wrong) But I love this manga anyway. As for Grand Sun, I'll try reading that right now!


I looked it up and I get the feeling that I might cry on this one. So I'm saving it on my to-watch list in case I'm in the mood for a tear jerker. Thanks for the suggestion!


I've put Oresama Teacher on hold just 'cause recently I'm in more of that mood to go "kyaaa" rather than laugh my butt off (which is what that series makes me do most of the time) but yeah, I like that manga too! And you've just reminded me to read Gokusen! I've been wanting to read that ever since I watched a few episodes of the live drama but for some reason I keep forgetting. So yes, thanks for that too!

Siesta has a really intresting setting, but there isnt that many chapters out, so i cant say how the romance will develop. The girl isnt cold, but calm. But the guy isnt tsundere really, just hot headed..

I think you also might like Platina. Its one of my new favourites!! I love her so much, and the guy is really cute, I thinkyou would enjoy this anyway. =)

Again if your looking for a really smart, strong female lead, you have to read Akagami no Shirayukihime

I'm sorry, most of them are more focused on the female lead.. and the last two are Tsundere.

I know!! I just love the characters in Last Game and Nanaco Robin! [Kinda rare finding someone that like NR because it's been put down as cliche] I just read the description of Orange Marmalade (because i didn't remember it), but LOL, that was the oddest description On second thought, OM might not really fir the whole "tsundere male lead", but it's a good read anyways~ I think you'll enjoy Kodomo no Omocha (however, i've actually only seen the anime and read the beginning part) Fyi Kamichama karin has a sequel too! my avatar is from Taiyou no Ie C: Sorry for the long response!

The male lead in that series is tsundere, but I think it was the girl who fell in love first.
