Okay- I just feel like reading/watching something with the character preferably main antagonist/protagonist being 'drunk/lost in power'. I'm not sure if that phrase satisfies what I am actually looking for, so I'll break the main things that I am looking for:

-Character needs to be the MAIN antagonist/protagonist (preferably)
-said person doesn't need to fall into the dark side or anything, they just get all crazy and insane with the power with their personality kinda being somewhat- uhm, what's the word... - high and all mighty? they look down upon others, love to torture others, sadistic, or just uncaring.
-the above being said, character might have a nicer personality before, the power kind of make them lose sight of who they originally are and their original purpose.
-I don't really mind the genre I kinda go for all types except for hentai. that's a big NO.
-No long-winded manga like naruto or bleach please.

Some example that I can think about right now is...
Kazuma from Kaze no Stigma : He kinda got all dark and stuff at the episodes towards the end.
Maka/Soul (and basically the characters that got the affected with the madness) from Soul Eater : I don't think this requires elaboration- they all kinda went insane with power at a point there.
Aichi/Ren from Cardfight Vanguard : They got addicted to the Psyqualia power and went some serious personality twist. (P.S. I like this type of personality twist due to power)
Light from Death Note : Yeah... he turned out that way cause of the power given by the daeth note.
Ryner from Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu : His Alpha Stigma personality thing.

I think I know some more but that's all I can think of right now.
So mind suggesting some anime/manga that might fit? Thanks in advance!

Hm, your description made at least me spontanously think of Tenjou Tenge, since there are some characters near to losing her mind, while facing her own powers or limits - in front of the power of others.

Lol, I just realised your description is exactly the opposite of witch hunter... well, the MC does get lost in mana a little later into the story, though.
