I was just curious if there are any series like this. It seems most of the time that the main girl is so obviously telegraphed that there is no tension at all, so I'm just looking for something a little different.
Thanks

It is like that because we enjoy stories that fulfill our expectations.

Try Onani Master Kurosawa. It's not really a romance though.

I suppose you might have luck with the absolute worst of love triangle shounen, but I hate those and don't read them so I can't recommend any.

Reading 'By Chance, We... and...' is kinda like watching Titanic. You pretty much know beforehand the shit's gonna sink, but you watch it anyway stupidly thinking "Dawww... They're soooo cute! How could this ever end badly!? How!?"

*ICEBERG!!!! CRASH!!! DOOOOOOM!!!*

"Oooooh, right. That."

Hey, they might end up together when they stop reminiscing... but since it's Korean, probably not. (and by "probably" I mean 100% not...... well, maybe 50-50.)

Maybe... Molester Man ?
Although its not ended yet, but why do I got the feeling the ending is not with miss Understanding? confused
Maybe because Onani Master Kurosawa still has influences on me....

the main girl character are still debate-able depending on whose fan we are talking to. Although Im also one of the people who also think that it is
"A romance where the protagonist doesn't end up with the main girl."
Because at first, I also think "she" is the main girl character. But then I swing to other but she come out quite late.
Oh, and maybe Seven Ocean is also could be considered it.
But its ended pretty axed.
