sweet story about parent looking for a lost child

Seems like Mother Sarah is something that would fit this. Although the story is far from sweet..., like not cute but violent.

I'd say cavalier of the abys but thats... a mahwa for guys... and u need to read inmortal regis before.

The main ones I can think of are ones where that happens as one incident within a larger manga or as a side theme. I can't think of a manga with that solely as its theme. Mangas I can think of which are 'sweet' and have that somewhere in the plot are:

Tonari no totoro(though thats the sister and granny that looks and the manga is basically freeze frames of the movie set out as a comic with text boxes XD. I highly doubt you haven't watched it yet but on the off chance you haven't, I suggest watching that.)
