Lately I've been reading a lot of romance manga and almost all of it is either "girl falls in love with bad boy" or a tale of innocent young romance filled with misunderstanding after misunderstanding. I really want a change of pace.

-Does not have to be a romance story so long as romance is an important part
-Cannot be a typical "innocent romance"
-Cannot feature a "bad boy" male lead
-If either is a delinquent, the girl MUST be one (but it is okay if neither is)
-Can be about a boy falling in love with a "bad girl"
-Can be about a "bad girl" falling in love with a normal or a "good" boy
-Can feature love triangles
-Cannot be a harem story
-Cannot be overloaded on romantic cheating (nothing like Haru Yo Koi or Girlfriend, where cheating seems to be encouraged by the author)

Hana-Kimi It's a reverse harem gender bender but it's worth it
Fruits Basket I feel foolish even suggesting this
Kare Kano Nothing close to a typical romance

I have a long-ass reccomendation list on my computer so I'll edit this post
with that when I get on is on her iPod

Btw stay away from Shinjo Mayu and Minami Kanan.

Yuri is okay, but I'm mainly looking for het.

I've read Fruits Basket and liked it, but that's not really what I'm looking for either. Kyo is definitely the aggressor in that relationship.

I think that what I'm looking for probably stands pretty heavily against Japanese culture.

Stories like Kimi wa Petto would fit what I'm looking for (she's definitely more dominant), and I'd even take a suggestion along the lines of Peach Girl, where Momo is fighting to get to keep Toji, even though both Toji and Kiley are closer to being aggressors than she is.
