Most male leads, especially harem leads, are complete wimps (even more so than me and I'm a total push over). I think some topics similar have been done, but not sure.
Anyway, my vote would probably go to the male lead of Onegai Teacher. I want to read the manga/watch the animé again, but the male lead is such a prick I feel sick thinking about it.

Based on a personal definition of wussy, I'd have to go with the lead for Ichigo 100%. Mostly because the guy got into misunderstandings/awkward situations, but was never man enough to fix them/explain things.

I didn't think that he was so bad. I actually rather liked him, and he did reject Kozue outright so thats a bonus. My vote would go to the lead character in Maken-Ki. He just annoys me.

hmm......i tend to stay away from mangas/animes with wussy male leads, but one that was unavoidable was Raki from Claymore.......single handedly the biggest crybaby i ever encountered, god shit he was annoying

come on Raki is a 13 or 14 year old kid who got attacked by youma all the time, what do you expect him to be?.... happy and sing songs about it ....... and whats more he got tougher as the manga progressed.

if you dont read this to save some excitement. than take my word for it. raki is a baller. besides, imagine yourself as him. your entire family gets eaten in a horribly brutal fashion, in front of your eyes, as they die trying to protect you.... then you go wondering around with some half demon chick while she fights other demons and get man handled by them for the most part.... (not only that but she doesnt have any she-girl parts so there cant be any "comforting".... lose-lose situation my friend) myself? i would want to have a good cry every now and then.
