I actually really liked this at first.... until they started to do the same thing over and over again.

The pattern is usually some random arrogent cultivator will come up thinking he is all big, and randomly for no good reason want to try and kill or cripple Len Feng. This can happen because Len Feng was just sitting at a table that this guy, for some reason, wanted or some other BS reason.

At first the reasons why they wanted to kill or cripple him made sense but now that i'm 200+ chapters in they are just plain retarded.

Also it seems like no one has any common sense! I mean because even when Len Feng kills and cripples all these strong people in front of their faces.

These arrogant douchebags will still think, "wow he is strong but I'm a nobel and he is poor so no way he can beat me or even dare to kill me."(even though the guy Len Feng killed was stronger and had just as much background).

Although of course this guy still try's to kill him for no reason and they are always like "how could you cripple/kill me, my family is big and influential". Well if he didn't care about the other noble guy he killed then he won't care about your family either, you god damn retard!

Though even if Len Feng lets these guys go with out crippling or killing them they will still come back thinking it will be different and of course its not and they die! How stupid can you be.

What I just said is just repeated again and again till the point were the story is complete BS and starts to piss away any possible plot.

After that, someone came and threatened him and things he loves, so he have to train and fight. Some past enemies turned into allies.
Next, someone appeared and threatened him and things he loves, so he have to train and fight.

Subsequently, someone appeared and threatened him and things he loves, so he have to train and fight.
Finally, someone appeared and threatened him and things he loves, so he have to train and fight.

Yep, that's how the story goes.

I get extremely tired reading this. Everything is about face. Everyone is always getting upset about face, and waffling on and on to everyone else about how awesome they are. Which obviously leads to arguments and fighting.

Everyone is an arrogant, condescending prick. It's so mentally exhausting, but it's still a nice read.

Just be prepared to see brats rant in every chapter.

I'm at chapter 280 right now and I'm enjoying the series a bit, but I have to make fun of it.


Peerless Martial God, in which 30 antagonists with the same personality all get more screen time than the supporting characters.

Everyone being murdered and supporting characters should be around? Nah, just focus on the protag and douchebag of the week then say they lived 3-4 arcs later.
Support harem member's father about to get murdered? Mention her 3 times during the 20 chapter arc even tho she's right there.
Have the protagonist save a hot girl from being raped in public who proceeds to follow him? Never mention her again.
Introduce 3 friends at the start? One of them phased out of existence the next time the other 2 appear. (Qing Yi)
Take Jing Yun to the capital? Dont mention her at all for atleast 100 chapters.

Its so god damn terrible, but I cant hate it. This is literally fan fiction tier, and I mean a really bad one, but its so god damn bad its slightly endearing.

Still in the early development stages. However so far this is definitely one to pick up.

Plot - So far it is pretty good. Quick development at the start which is unusual but a very nice change. I have no problem with starting the fighting early.

MC - GREAT! very, very few MC's will make me so excited about a series within the first few chapters. ==chapter 1, his life is ruined by a girl and a rich guy who falsely accuse him and sue him for trying to be a good guy, he is sentenced to prison. Rather than serve his time, when he sees that they are a couple and have ruined his life on purpose. He kills himself and presumably them by speeding his car into them as his last revenge==
From that point on he just becomes such a badass!

Supporting Characters - Sect all call him trash so there is obviously the slimy weasels who are weak but bully those weaker. However, break the mould when his Father is sect leader and rather than being calm and gentle is just as ruthless and badass as the MC.

Overall. I am not sure in regards to spirits and where that plot will go. I would compare this to Martial God Asura, which is my all time number 1. It gives the same feeling and is well worth picking up.

Translations - As a side note, very good work with very few mistakes.

I can't find a single good thing to say here. 90 chapters in is no better than before, maybe worse. MC likes to straight up kill anyone who acts arrogantly, acts incredibly arrogantly himself, and just basically comes off as an asshole. Not that anyone else in the entire story is any better aside from his father, Han Man, and Jing Yun. Everyone is an asshole. Everyone is willing to kill anyone weaker than them. No one seems to care at all about anyone else's lives.

"Oh, this guy insulted me? Time to kill him." "This idiot doesn't know who I am? He doesn't deserve to live then." "This weakling happens to be in a spot I just randomly chose to train? Time to cripple him for life." Teaching a lesson isn't good enough for these people.

Seriously, screw this mindset. And screw this story.

When I first looked into this, I wasnt sure. I am never a big fan of those rebirth or another life stories.

However this reminded me of Martial God Asura. I have done the math....
Chu Feng = Lin Feng

Its a good story so far, looks like some depth is coming with romance and revenge. Looking forward to it.

I enjoy the story and have currently read up to chapter 1396

This is my first cultivation novel, my first novel really, so I'm not burned out on these type of stories, which apparently seem to be carbon copies of each other, based on what people have said and on the manhua adaptations of other novels that I've started reading recently.

Here are some of the flaws:

1) Predictability:

This is very much a shounen, reminds me of DBZ but bloody. Enemies either show up and seriously underestimate the MC before getting slaughter, or if the enemy is winning you can be sure that the MC will likely find a way to power up (go super saiyan 4.5). 90% of the people in this world are arrogant dicks and somehow the "crowd" is always present to be "stupefied" when these arrogant manchildren get poked.

2) Forgotten characters:

We meet some decent side characters along the way, but they often get left behind as the MC moves on to higher level zones and can't bring the noobs along. This makes it hard to get attached to the new friends he meets along the way.

EDIT: Some of the older side characters are starting to reappear, after a very long time of being MIA

3) Skill names/descriptions:

Maybe it is just my lack of imagination, but i find it difficult to visualize some of the skills that are described. What does awareness look like? and when they say he turned into a sword, do they mean that literally? Things like huge palaces coming out of peoples foreheads sounds like crazy talk.

Final thoughts:

All in all, even with its obvious flaws, I enjoy reading it. It is a guilty pleasure of mine to the point that I've even become a patron of the translator.

Just like @Avarco said. They keep doing the same stuff over and over again.

I'm about 180 something chapters in, and for some reason the author continues to write"You have offended me" situations to move the story along.

My rating doesn't entirely reflect the plot, because if it did... it would be significantly lower. I enjoy some of the characters and the interactions. Although that would be about 1% of characters and interactions. Because this world is literally filled with a bunch of shameless bastards who all think they are born as kings to rule the world.

So I would only recommend this to those who can handle your classic MGA style offending and rinse and repeat. I can certainly handle it, but I enjoy MGA more, because I can feel a slight direction. It all comes down to preference.

Also another reason I'm sticking with this is to see the mystery behind both his spirits.

Edit: A while Ago when I read in the 200s they had a mini war arc. I think it was the most intriguing thing that happened in a long time.

I am glad to see this picked up. I have just read chapter 7. The group translating this are doing a good job taking over.

He is starting to feel a bit like a playboy, reminds me of ATG slightly. Not in what he is saying, but he is just running around topless with all these girls.

The story itself seems like good writing and I will keep reading.
