Funny, cute girls, lighthearted action (up till now at least) and budding romance. Could we ask for more?
Well, It's not very deep or great or anything, but fun to read.

After a while it could become repetitive, but it's not there yet (Vol 4), and I'm still waiting for a more serious plotline to begin. Probably sg about Moka's other personality.

I really enjoy this manga, the art is beautiful, and just when you think the story gets repetitive and starts to bend the limits of boredom, some refreshing material is introduced. And hey, the day vampires ain't cool, ... ...(has yet to come.).

I want to post my POV on this manga. Some people have said they basically think it's a story which exploits the monster theme to introduce a "freak of the week" which Super Moka beats up. It may seem like that at the start, when the story is just getting going, but really, it's a great story.

This story is NOT about Tsukune and his goofy misunderstandings with various non-humans (in fact, there's really no pointless stuff like that--obviously there are misunderstandings between Tsukune & folk, but it's not like he's constantly in a comical pinch)--we seriously meet other non-humans besides Moka who Tsukune befriends. Not only that, Tsukune's friends are likeable, real characters, not characteratures of monsters with human personalities, and aren't noticeably cliched at all. I'd describe this story as more of a school life comedy drama than a fantasy shounen, honestly. Admittedly their are various hijinx with Tsukune getting in awkward situations (when a non-human suddenly happens to take an interest in him, he's often in a difficult situation since he's powerless), and Moka does kinda fit the "cute girl suddenly obsessed with guy" cliche (but she has a serious personality, and there's actually drama between them, it's far from just fluff) and the witch girl reminds you of Skuld and really annoys you at first before she mellows out, but... these shounen plot elements are far from a giant overwhelming presence in the manga.

The latest release just got through a really serious (and by serious I do mean "serious"--it wasn't comic at all, people's were at stake, a lot of character development occurred all around, and it touched on a lot of deep themes. not just a fluff plot arc where in the end nothing came from it except the idea of a deepened relationship) plot development, and I'm wondering how things will change in the story from now on.

Meh, are like all series in Monthly Jump the same? Just as repetitive as Kurohime, and almost the same chapter set-ups. Moka and Tsukune run into trouble with a new student, Tsukune takes off her rosary, Moka transforms, she beats the student, happy end. Wtf...
I like it slightly better than Kurohime; though I have to say I'm not surprised Monthly Jump was cancelled. The only somewhat decent manga in that was Claymore.
