I liked reading this. I laughed, which is what I wanted when reading. But I agree with previous reviewers, I think that the tactless crowd and Atsu where getting on my nerves... But I'm not sure Atsu was meant to be pitiable. If it was, it's lost on me! I liked the whole idea and the main character oscillating between being cold and cute.

I usually like Akira Shouko's works, but in this one something was off. Constant references to monkeys become really annoying in time, there isn't much chemistry between the characters either. Also, can't they do anything without their classmates' presence? Why does the whole class have to be in each chapter, so tactless too?!

it is a good and nice - but in the same time a typical - shoujo manga. there is no suspense, mystery, or any deep psychological story. however, it is a good choice for you to spend your free time reading it.

I TOTALLY disagree with the last comment. This is a sweet love story~~ and it is not typical. The main guy isn't some ultra sexy guy, he is a runt with a sweet smile; and the heroine isn't so typical either-- she is the strong type (which I love). What I like about this series is that neither one has been in love (they may have liked others in the past, but not LOVE) so they are feeling the beginnings of love for the first time... they don't realize what it it they are feeling- they just know they are drawn to each other. This series is really sweet <33 and I can't wait for more!!!

I first heard of this manga a year ago, but disregarded because of the summary (LAME VIZ!). Anyway, I don't even remember why I started reading it now but am glad I did because it's not bad! I find that the storyline doesn't... flow together as well as other manga, but I like that the main characters aren't the typical shoujo type (hot, bishie boy and childish, stupid girl). Haruna is a beautiful, yet mature girl with a good head on her shoulders and Macharu is a fun, but sensitive/attentive guy who looks younger than his age. The humor isn't bad and the art is wonderful.

Like a previous reviewer, I also find some part of the story a bit slow, but the progression in Haruna and Macharu's relationship make up for it. They're so cute together and I love seeing their love grow slow, but steady.

Not typical at all. Very entertaining. I really hate Macharu's best friend. I really want to punch him in the face. Good story development. I hope the mangaka keeps it up.

shoujo mangas lack pretty heroines so a nice type reversal is VERY REFRESHING!! I like it when the heroine is pretty and has personality, doesnt have to be violent, but just elegant and likeable will do AND the guy is sweet and unsmart but very loveable reminiscent of Kiri Okayasu in PEACH GIRL...and can I also point out this is the ONLY shoujo manga where the girl has some self respect and the guy's image righteously bashed about as much as a girl's is in every other shoujo manga there is- I have a huge respect for this mangaka now- she also shows a couple who like each other but dont understand each other so much which makes it better and less dumb n unrealistic.....quite promising, will keep track!..

i really enjoyed reading this,what a weird couple i like them both. in good and bad times they are always together to fight for their relationship but i don't like atsu trying to betray his friend. i hope they will make a continuation to this cu'z i really like the story

Finally a manga that's different! It's been a while since i've read a manga like this Its unique in its own way. Its a very cute manga and i love all the characters. I guess opposites do attract doesn't it A smart, mature and serious girl meets a childish, innocent and carefree boy! I love how its not rushed and how they go through obstacles together. Loved it, give it a try

I agree with the bunch of other reviewers down there, this was a well down shoujo. Cliche aplenty but I enjoyed the ride and looked forward to the next. Haruna was a great mc, flawed and insecure and perfectly embodying teen angst, love and youthfulness. Masaru isn't as fleshed out as I wouldve liked but I liked that he didn't lose the mindset of a male adolescent. It's far from a perfect story but it's like a peek at high school romances everywhere, which is why I love it. Though I'd love to have more chapters but the ending was great.

+++ Like many reviewers, I didn't really appreciate the constant verbal ragging on Masaru. It was almost like bullying in a way. Jokingly name-calling someone is only funny the first few times. And I wish someone (Haruna or Masaru) called out Atsu on his actions. Even if he was "only" doing it because Haruna was unattainable. Those arent the actions of a real friend. Sigh.
