Description
In company-owned rabbit-hutch apartments live tenants who can't afford to live anywhere else, and the apartment complex in which high-school girl Hatsumi Narita lives is ruled over by the rumor mongering, self-righteous Mrs. Tachibana. Im so upset..i read the spoilers... I CAN'T BELIEVE THE ENDING...man i dont even feel like continuing if thats how its gonna end....im really dissapointed....ok when i wrote that i thought i wanted her to end up with her someone else, but after like ch.52...the idea of them together kind of weirded me out..alot...and its only kind of sad and dissapointing what "someone"decides to do and y...but other than that it is descent...UNTIL THE LAST PAGE...I ORDER YOU..GAH....lol...bossy...but he seems like he's nicer towards the end...maybe...and maybe it hints at "they" will be together in the future..lol he he he

i swear the God!! This is the only manga that can piss me off and it's definitly not a good thing! The only thing she's got is air in her head. Her current boyfriend treats her like a slave and her ex is mean and yet she says she cares! I wonder if there exists girls like that in the real world?

The art was nice. The story however is something rather difficult to read through. There is abuse plain and simple...I don't think any young person should read this...I hope no one believes these kinds of behaviors to be acceptable and the norm.
Aah, Hot Gimmick. This is one of the first shoujo manga I've ever read, and probably the first to have disappointed me to the point of dropping it.
The first few volumes were interesting, but the cliche-ridden melodrama just dragged my interest down. The MC was so frustrating, and I can never bring myself to think that Ryoki might change for good and be a better person and actually deserve having a girlfriend.
I suggest that if you really want to read it, prepare something that will put your mood up afterwards.

this manga has no coherency at all whatsoever. I lose respect for both the girl and the guy, so there's a bunch of crap that goes on and then I barely even care because I don't feel at all attached to the story. I'm not sure why I even read it, I must have been bored to my bones.
At first I wasn't going to read it because of all the negative comments, but I was really bored and chose to read it. It was really good, very dramatic, but good. The heroine's boyfriend is kind of annoying with his orders but I got used to it. BUT I wish the manga was about the heroine's little sister. Her story was in fact much more interesting. That's the only reason why I chose to read it more haha. Plus her little sister and her crush are cute. So overall it was good for a shoujo read.

It's like "Gossip Girl" but even more questionable. That's right, I just compared this manga to a guilty pleasure TV show. I mean it's called "Hot Gimmick" and this series is pretty chock full of them...And it works. I enjoyed this much more than I should have and I can't even call it "good" for sure. Worth reading if you are comfortable with never admitting afterwards in public that you read it.

I had high hopes and couldn't put it down, but the guy was an ass and the whole thing left me feeling a hole in my chest
I find this manga's appeal is like a trainwreck, you can't look away. Everyone is completely disfunctional, and that's what makes it enteraining. Look if this was real life, we'd be calling CPS and the cops, but since it's only a manga it's ok to rubberneck. Hot Gimmick was fun and I liked it.
