bought the book... umm like hot gimmick s was better I believe. you wont need enlightenment on that story for sure ^.^

this had the potential to be a good read, actually i probably shouldn't have given it a one, but the ending of any story is the most important part of the story for me. it decides whether or not the story is happy or sad, good or bad... and the ending of this story sucked ass. neither of the main characters (if any) grew in any substantial way and the relationship was abusive. i'm not saying that because she was his slave, i'm saying that because he hit her a lot, he likened her to both a dog and a handbag, and by the end the girl started thinking that she was worthless (which means that she actually did grow... negatively) i'm surpirsed that this kind of stuff is even published in the first place. i can just see some young girl picking this up... can you see the abuse rates rising? finding a strong heroine is rare in manga, but at least most are portrayed with some sense of dignity and realization of self worth. it wasn't all bad, there were some good parts in it (i'm not attacking the story, just the idea) but what i found unpleasant overpowered what i found to be pleasant. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE.

this is really an awesome manga by Miki-sensei and i really love her works... this is by far one of her best manga... the characters are really interesting and it's exciting to see the reactions of each characters as they deal with their problems... must must read!

This has to be one of the best! Great art work and great story in one!

Ryoki +Hatsumi better stay together till the end. They are ment for eachother. Ryoki needs her.....one of the reasons why the manga is so good is because of his personality. A must read!

I'm not really sure how this manages to get the "romance" and "comedy" tags. This is an incredibly masochistic manga, with every chapter essentially being about the main character being emotionally and physically abused by the men in her life. If reading this doesn't make you a misandrist, I don't know what will.

Honestly, this manga pisses me off like no other. At first, I thought it'd be a good read because it's entertaining to watch a girl gain backbone. However, she still hasn't gained any sort of backbone; she's a complete pushover. She lets guys manipulate her and it makes me sick.

Reading about a girl who can't fend for herself isn't my kind of fun.

Hatsumio and Ryoki make an amusing couple. Just read it and laugh and don't get to psyched up by it. Ryoki loves her deeply but he's bitterly jealous about how little attention she gives him, and rightfully so. While Hatsumi doesn't always present her best since she's knee deep in disturbing family affairs and can barely substantiate a romatic relationship. You can probably enjoy this easily but if you get hindered by the psychological profile of Hatsumi's wavering mind, then read something else.

Maybe I'm one of those girls that secretly likes an aggressive guy, but I found the plot really well developed and hot/romantically addicting. Though the male lead acts like an asshole, it's clearly a front he puts up because he's afraid to tell her his feelings (he's really putty in her hands). The plot dynamic is that the male lead really wants the girl to be his girlfriend/treat her like the princess, but is afraid she'll leave so keep finding excuses to abuse her/make her stay with him. The girl kind of likes being picked on a little and is unsure of her feeling in return, and keeps trying to run away at first before realizing that he's not the asshole he pretends to be.

I thought I would hate this manga, all the reviews are pretty bad. But yeah, the main girl is a wishy washy girl who can't seem to think for herself and ends up with a guy who kind of sexually harasses her in the beginning. But really, what do people expect? Some people are like that, it's realistic in a way. Not ALL girls are like that, not even very many are, but there are a few that have personalities like this. No one is perfect, people are jerks and they are selfish and they make HUGE mistakes. I feel like that is a part of this manga. Plus, you can't just date a guy because he is nice. Maybe you shouldn't date jerks either, but I think the other reviewers are definitely overdoing the character hate.
