Honestly, this was one of the most degrading manga I've ever read. It's absolutely disgusting! How could you ever fall in love with someone who pushed you down a flight of stairs...AS A CHILD! The reason why he pushed her was stupid too. I don't care if the whole thing was unintentional. And he's so abrasive and abusive, it's so awful to think that she ends up with him, merely hoping that he will eventually change his ways. I got so pissed off that I actually couldn't read it until the very end.

It's like telling girls it's okay to be with a boy who tells you that you have to give him all of your attention, that you can't be with others you care about like your friends or family. This manga is disgusting and I absolutely hated it. I wouldn't even give it a 1/10. Don't read it, please. And if you do like it... well, to each their own I guess.

I have a love/hate thing with this manga. I know it's pretty 2d and stuff but when you read it you just can't help but be touched by the things that they do. Girls find it really good when you know the things that Ryoki does. And I know I do have a soft spot for bad guys. Hahaha. It's guilty pleasure! Still I can't deny how bad the plot is. Haha.

I really enjoyed this and don't usually enjoy this type of Manga. I grabbed it because I had just finished the latest volume of Nana and needed something a little bit lighter in feeling. It is a little lighter but it wasn't fluff like I thought it might be. I really enjoyed the story and the ending, I thought it was a pretty good ending. I was a bit annoyed with the main character's weakness but the story wouldn't be the same other wise. I started reading Honey Hunt and really enjoyed it so I would suggest if you liked this, you'd like Honey Hunt too.

I almost finished Volume 1 from the library and WAS hoping to buy the new VizBig edition, but from what I'm reading in the manga AND on the comments page here, it doesn't seem like a worthy endeavor anymore.

I can understand shy heroines, but their main goal in manga should be to develop into a stronger character than how she was in the beginning. My understanding of Hatsumi is she accepts crap from people ALL the time until the very end? I simply cannot read about a character who will not develop into something more. I understand she's shy, but she should at some point try to change her situation.

I dunno, maybe I'll read the volumes from the library, but I'll definitely keep my money for something else.

I finished reading the first volume and could not continue!!! My god what the hell was wrong with Hatsumi Some people say that there are women out there with her personality, but if I actually met one of those people I would SLAP HER SOME SENSE. Who the hell forgets to asks to stop doing the slave duties? Who the hell would actually listen? And who the hell would do sexual favors just to cover up your sister's FAKE SECRET?? This is was the first manga I never finished and hated so much in the beginning. Please do not read if you ALSO CANNOT TOLERATE a total jerk who plays slave master relationship to a spineless twit of a main character!!!!

Woah this story was too intense, truth be told, I did not like it at first, but since I had nothing better to do this past two days, I browsed out my archive and started reading hot gimmick again (last time I read was until chapter 3 and did not like it), and boy did it spark my interest! although I might say the artwork was so-so and the character personalities are annoying, but hey that's where the plot is! And the story was way too intense to stop reading, I mean I can't stop reading and wanting more! There are very few mangas that made this interested, made me hate, made me cry, made me love, and sympathize its characters!

I don't know why people would rate this under 4, but read through it (at-least the Azusa arc) and you'll find very intriguing. I give this a nine for how the story was put, but fell short on its ending (but there's an alternate anyways ^^) and for its artwork (which is not to my liking, but I can deal with it)

This manga overall was really good. But i had to agree the heroine was really weak. T: [: Hot Gimmick S is coming out ^^;; hopefully it'll satisfy the not satisfied readers. XD and for readers who liked shinogu. ^^
