I've always thought that an intellectual framework is a useful means of making sense of one's own reality. And like any sort of framework, it is only useful only up to a certain point: in the way it links your present to the past and the future. The pseudo-intellectual crap in this manga does not make sense -- it does not make sense give the history of the characters (their past), how it relates to what is happening (their present), and what to expect from them in the future. I guess the reason is because I really can't get the weird twisted meanings that the characters apply to relationships, lust, love and sex.

I think this manga over-thinks too much -- it aspires to relate grand ideas that is not related to the (frequent) sexual acts of the characters. The only aspect of sex that I can relate to in this manga is the frequent way with which the women try to manipulate and control Mr. Golden Boy through his libido. Other than that, this manga is an incoherent piece of comic junk.

this manga is good with out a doubt , but later in the manga it kinda of becomes wacky with the long story arc and wierd relationship, with crazy mixing around and matching... but the point of the manga is still awesome... only if the chapters were released faster, then we may be able to go ahead and hope for more.

Sure this manga is preverted and sometimes disgusting; however, underneath all that is some real philosophy of life. The author seems to have chosen a unique way to answer what many philosophers have asked, "how should one live?"

Overall, a good manga if one is fine with the perverted scenes

Note: The author seems, to me, to have taken some of his philosophy from Aristotle. "Studying as the best life"

i really don't like ecchi mangas but i'm glad i gave this one a try. It's actually pretty fun and it's deep for a perverted manga >_>' Pretty sure women would find this somewhat offensive though... nearly all of the female characters are .. hehe w/e

The most amazing thing about this manga is that, even if the writer is a twisted ****, he is still amazingly intellectual to put it forth in a somewhat educational and questionable way of expression. it's like, even if everything is completely ****** up, it still has a key lesson that everyone should at least think twice about before throwing it in the bin.

Anime was great, too bad that the manga is trash.

Ecchi FTW. manga is simply great and the character is so full of life. manga has a bit of everything and is hillarious. anime was good as well too bad it was too short D: well go check it out as soon as you can!

Kintaro Oye is my TEACHER!!!! lol. A classic!!!!. One of the best animes of all time!!!! Too bad the series was cut short :( but I hope dat someone would eventually continue it. YES! ( Golden Boy tone of voice ( I can literally sound / imitate his voice ) ).
