i was anime lover never read manga but only after reading the summary i started reading and from there on i am completely sucked in...brilliant work and so far the best story written however they are dragging it but again to my surprise the tension and suspense is there.....it got me into manga and its best..infact this is 1st time i am forced to write about some manga
I have to say, this is one of the best series out there. The depth of thinking they go into is unbelievable (gives a new meaning 'to thinking too much into it'). It's like one of those thriller investigation stories; L is just great, Ratio (Light) is great too. Definitely kept my attention through-out. Can't wait till it starts up again (in April I think?)

Read it a long time ago, I can only remember my disappointment in this series that started promising but ended up exaggerating absolutely everything, mainly the main char is blow to ridiculous proportions which is a lame of an excuse from the author in trying to make a char brighter than his story telling abilities allow him.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I loved this manga in the beginning it was interesting, it was alluring and it was different from the norm. After the third Manga, I lost all interest in it. The plot kept repeating, in the way I mean that whats his face just kept killing everyone that was getting in his way, and by the end it didn't accomplish anything. The new characters that were introduced didn't really help the plot in my opinion. They were uninteresting to me. And the ending was kinda blah. This I would have to say was a waste of my time. The artwork was very different from the 'normal' sense of a manga, so I do have to give credit to that. But the plot was a total flop. I really don't see how people get so hyped about this manga...

i hated this manga i can not see why it is so popular. at first i liked the concept but the thing i hated was the main character his attitude was one of the things that turned me away from this manga. if you like it more power to you but i for one hate it.
yeah..this is the best manga in the world..hahaha
Death Note is definitely one of the best plot-intensive manga ever made. This is a manga that will suck you in right off the bat from chapter 1.

Ok, this one is hard to talk about...
I was expecting so much more, because of the fuss about it.
Even thought i think its a "must read", i dont think its worth all the credit that people gave it.
I think kira was cool at first, but then he got boring.
L is the greatest character for shore!!!
Mello and Near are both zero appealing! They were such plain so-so characters.
And Misa, please, i hate her so much! How can so many girls adore her and cosplay her? just because she is pretty and wears pretty clothes? is that even a reason? Shes such a stupid manipulated girl, almost to the point of giving me pity... Im a great fan of shoujo girls who are about to give anything for the one they love, but misa is just brainless! They say love is blind, but in death note love is mentally handicapped!
I liked the mind games though...

I'm not a Death Note fan but it's worth reading for 13+, Death note is a intense manga with so many unpredictable twists that can lock your mind into a brain storming world. Every chapter feels so moving that it might give a headache everytime you read it(Good and bad thing)
But the ending isn't as great as it is. While you read it up to it's climax(You know who dies) it starts to go down hill and the characters changed from a person to expect lots of good deeds to pathetic insane beings.

Very good story, takes alot of pateince reading through and analyzing all those lines tho, your constantly thinking about wat the charcter thinks the other character is thinking. Very nice art and a very good mystery type manga. I think I liked the "L" saga and after that i sort of lost intrest. But definetly a must read for mystery fanatics.
