Sometimes a Textbook

I'm not into superstitions or ghosts. However, there were consecutive pages every chapter explaining every single supernatural concept that came along. It was like reading a textbook sometimes. It got to a point where I started skipping those dialogue boxes (about 2/3 through), mostly because the information didn't come into play later, because the solution often (not always) ended up being an entirely new concept.
Secondly, I never really started caring for the support characters, because there were quite a few (not too too many), and none of them shined in any skill/emotional area. Also, they didn't build personal relationships, just a general increase in friendship between them all. (I'm not going to spoilers any romances though, so don't take my previous comment to mean there is no romance)
The art was good. I particularly like the colouring on the covers. Something about it maybe me go "Oooooooooooooh..."
The ending summed up everything well. There was one ending that could have made me rate this higher, and it did not occur. Although, it would have been uncharacteristic for the manga to take the turn I wanted it to take. The actual ending was fitting and memorable.
Basically, this manga is good. It is drawn well and the writing is good. My complaints are with the endless and sometimes useless pages of explanations. Pick it up, read a few volumes, and if you like them then I promise that the rest of it keeps the same sort of tone and style. (Although, it gets slightly darker I guess.)

i absolutely ADORE this series and love all of the characters to death, plus all the stories were interesting and creepy and compelling as well. i would really recommend this series to any supernatural mystery lover or just anyone looking for a good story.
BUT...that last volume...!! it was entirely disappointing how rushed the story was to conclude everything and try to wrap up all the loose ends and it did a horrible job at it. mai's feelings were given little respect or resolution, the whole mystery surrounding naru was unraveled at a rushed pace and under lame circumstances (ok, so NOW they force him to spill everything?). and then the mystery of the death wasn't even solved completely. i hear the novel is on an indefinite hiatus right now, thus the rushed ending to the manga, but couldn't they just put the manga on hiatus as well? blargh.

I liked the characters from this story. I enjoyed watching the main character mature. It was sweet seeing how tight-knit Mai and her group members were.
This is a manga where people from different backgrounds and religions come together to solve supernatural mysteries. I like how the author made use of the powers of every member of the group, including Mai. The ending didn't satisfy me because it left some loose ends.
But overall, it was a great story and exhilerating ride until the end.

Gene's murder mystery wasn't solved and we don't know who killed him. And Naru's reaction to the murder of his brother is kind of inappropriate.

No offense

This is story is really good and i was sad to realise the author wouldn't be putting the two characters i wanted to get together, together. I loved the first few stories they were quite scary and original but they got boring and the ending seemed to wrap up really quickly. This is one of those series i was really sad finishing because it didn't deliver -_-
one of the best ever!

this manga has everything within! i completely drown into the story.
the manga got stuck in vol.9 and it drove me so desperately frustrated Dx
but then inada-sensei decide to continue after ages! yay!
i have finished read all the series! geez~ i nearly cried when naru found his brother's corpse.
instead of crying (i'll get shocked first if he ever shed a tear xD), there was a relief draw in his eyes.
this last volume revealed who naru really is. and yes, he's the famous prof. oliver davis!
mai will never dream the smiling naru ever again. because that wasn't naru, but his twin brother, gene.
mai confessed that she liked naru. but naru asked whether him or gene whom she liked. mai was confused, she was not sure. (stupid! of course towards naru! :p )
well, the case has come to an end. naru go back to london..
oh, i really expect more than this with the ending! i need the sequel! >.<
the last, before i forget... naru a.k.a noll a.k.a kazuya shibuya a.k.a oliver davis, i'm so falling for him! XDDD highly recommended!

In my opinion every individual have their own personalities. I like the main guy narcissistic personality. Though the main girl can sometimes get on my nerve but she okay. So far i already finish reading at the forgotten children case. I think the next case would be naru's brother related case but too bad i can't seem to find anywhere that had update ghost hunt manga it all stop at the forgotten children case. I hope someone would scanlated it and update it soon i want to read more ghost hunt to find out more about naru and what actually happen to his brother.

one of the most amazing mangas out there.
highly recommended.
every individual have their own personalities.
i love how they made shibuya-san so subtle with his gentleness towards mai.
at the most crucial times he becomes someone i completely fall heads over heels for. (:
and although his arrogant usual self is also an attractive aspect (rofl i seem to be ranting about shibuya now), the addition of that side also gets to me equally.
mai is strong, amazing, weak at times and realistic.
characters grow, relationships build and altogether it creates a unique masterpiece.
the thrills are amazing and the supernatural aspect is well thought out; without the typical seen in most supernatural mangas anywhere else.
in short,
i am completely in love.

I liked the anime and manga- maybe because the anime is like an animated manga(very similar in content). Anyway, I like both.
"Ghost hunt" is sometimes scary, but author provides you with comic relief and information(about west-east accult differences, for example), so it doesn't creep you out completely. Several times I flipped the pages like mad man, to see if Mai got out of the trouble she encounterd, but the more you follow her ventures into the world of unknow, the more intersting it gets.

Well I love these books very much. I'm addicted! To be honest it takes a lot to write a good horror msytery to the point were I dont normally like them because the plot sucks but i just loved these books. For a while i thought there wasnt gonna be a 10 but now there is work on an 11. awesome. I almost can't believe it. I was so happy it just keeps you geussing. It really is a good read but i think you should runaway while there is still time because if not you gonna end up as crazy as me waiting for the next one.
