The Best Martial Art Manga I've Read
by martianlynx

Rating: 10.0  / 10.0
I get this whole summary and story of Veritas. It was just too damn cool to read it.

I really don't care what other people will say about this that there are some parts that the story does not connect, but to me everything connects to Gangryong.

Ofcourse it doesn't just focus on the main character, it focuses on different character's background/profile as they were so committed on becoming a succesor to their Traditional Martial Style... That's why it's called Veritas in the first place. smile and that's what Veritas means ..

The characters that i liked was Lightning Tiger, Gangryong, Rud's Story, Honse's Story, and most of all The Battle of Gaesong Bro (The Mirage Technique)... I just love the battle beetween Madoka vs Gaesong Bro, it was like Kage-Bunshin Technique biggrin HEHEHE. Although it was recovered and improved from the Reunion's Art Style...

Anyways, all the characters in this book are all connected to Gangryong. All about this, just give him time to obtain and learn cool moves as he progress. At the same time while other Martial Students gets attached to him and gets to know the meaning of Power. (Remember Gangryong searches for Power) Who will soon realize something more valueable instead of power... Especially the whole story of what Lightning Tiger said, if there is Good there is Evil (Yin&Yan Theory)...(interesting...) That's why Gangryong is there to stop Vera or Yuri (either way).

One of the best Manhwa, I ever Read !

This was the session one...as some people comparing it to Breaker and saying that it got what Breaker is missing, IT'S TRUE!
Though things are different...but, what is to compare here is The Protagonist...Totally polar-opposite to Breaker Protagonist...!

I felt that the ending of the fast season was a bit rushed, to be precise the about last 15 chapters !
But, ironically these last chapters are the ones, that made me give it 10 out of 10, which was 9 at the middle...they was Awesome...though I knew what's coming, The Plot Twist/s were way more awesome than expected...!

Waiting for the Sequel...Fighting! ^^

If you wanna read some Action, Fighting, no fanservice, "boobs all over the place" stuff, here you go. First of all, I'm quite pissed off since almost every MC's fighting reason is to Protect someone. but here comes Gangryong that wants Revenge and getting Stronger just for the sake of it.The Artwork is pretty good too, so here are ++ points.
For those who read/are reading Kenichi or The Breaker or its sequel, its quite alike but without NEVER-ending cliffhangers and fanservice stuff. Shorter too.
IF there's a sequel, but from what I've researched its about 2yrs or 3 since the end of Veritas, it will be EPIC and I'm certainly looking forward to it. Just have hope, it might come sometime (Berserk fans know what I'm talking about)

one of my favorites! there's action, no fucked up main character with an outdated idea of chivalry and he doesn't talk all about good and evil either, which is awesome! Lightning Tiger was a badass, so is the dude with the shaved head-even though he has lost his power.

in order of badassedness
1. Lightning tiger
2.Gangryong
3.Vera
4.Honse
5.Jeeha
6.Fire Dragon

Too bad

I'll confess, i'm writing this...apparently 962 days after the last release. But I have a pretty clear memory for me to write a little comment here.

The manhwaga was very unsuccessful with this manhwa in korea and had to work two jobs to support himself. Despite his attempt to leave the end open, we definitely won't be seeing more of this.

It's a real shame that this series was hurried to an end. The last few volumes show a visible degradation in quality, with one character being pushed into a comic-relief role, other characters being rushed in their development, the final motive not entirely coming from nowhere (it'd been suspected by many, kind of), but definitely NOT fitting the atmosphere of the series.

When I first read this series, it was awesome. The Breaker-tier (part 1, that is). The last few volumes are still good, though. A good comparison would be The Breaker: New Waves, though I think New Waves is better simply I expected more from Veritas.

Good main character

The main character keeps this series alive for me and I can't believe I don't see him more often. Sometimes I feel that the only reason I keep reading this series is because I keep waiting for the MC to beat the crap out every arrogant a**hole in that zoo of a school. By the way this takes place in a school but... I haven't seen a singe teacher.

Not bad.

Martial arts stories invariably ride on the main character's personality. This one's personality is aces so far. Classic underdog that disguises a cunning mind with brutish rope-a-dope methods.

He's surrounded by top grade a-holes constantly looking down on him. You know their steroid drinking butts stand no chance in the end but seeing how he gets them is where the fun's at. A classic story with a classic setup that's done in good style so far. The problem is that it seems to fall for the classic martial arts trap: the fights are constantly stretched out. If you can stomach this, this is a good read. If you hate the dragon ball watch my new move style comic, avoid this like the plague.

What THE BREAKER was missing
by CorneliusA

It's like the other half of The Breaker that was missing, if you liked both parts of the breaker series you'll probably like this. The basic master disciple set up is very reminiscent of each other(foils of each other). The is a lot missing though, especially in terms of likeability for the main character, and it was horribly rush at the end with only vague promises of a sequel. But all in all it's not a waste of time.

This is and always will be one of my favorite mangas! The story is very intricate and it draws you in. You begin to love the characters and the fights are amazing. The women can be a bit ecchi sometimes but its not really a big deal.

An amazing story with an amazing end, though not completely. Reading this was alot of fun and I constantly craved for more. The fights were well drawn and well thought out. The crazy super powers the main characters had could have been ridiculous but they were all entertaining to watch and read. Last but definitely not least...I couldn't read this manhwa without drooling! The girls are just such eye candy. Madoka was definitely my favorite with Vera in second. Can't wait for the sequel!
