Description
Toono Satoru was just asked to go on a date by Tamiya Keigo, but all Satoru does is stare blankly at him without saying a word. The truth is that Satoru is so happy right now he could burst! He's had a crush on Tamiya for the longest time and never thought the feelings might be mutual. Unfortunately for Satoru, his emotions never show on his face and he barely ever talks. Naturally, this causes all sorts of misunderstandings. Will he be able to express his true feelings for Tamiya? Will Tamiya ever learn to read Satoru's expressionless face?

To be honest...

I don't care much for the second couple (Volume 3) because I can't bring myself to like their characters. The main couple on the other hand were amazingly cute and I love how their relationship progressed, though a little background story on how they both came to like each other would be nice.

this is the second yaoi I've ever read and one that I've gone back to countless times, yet despite that, it never failed to entertain me
Takanaga Hinako sensei has the gifts of spinning the most average situations and the most average characters with the most average plot lines into something so completely engaging and interesting
her characters are absolutely lovable, and especially in this manga... it's a struggle to decide whether Satoru is a generic uke or not. He's submissive, blushes too much and despite his silent demeanor, giddy like a school girl most of the time (inside), eventho I usually hate these qualities, I never find him annoying - I figure it got to do with the fact that his feelings for Tamiya are so settled (even more than Tamiya himself)... and speaking of which, Im not gonna lie, Tamiya is as generic as Takanaga sensei's semes can get, but he's too likable and together, they just make a great pair
it isn't as bad as 'there's no plot' but the plot is pretty limited, considering the fact that both characters are pretty much quite in love with each other even in chapter 1... but I refuse to drop a mark for this because hell I enjoyed every bit of it lol...
and the smut and the fact that they appear quite frequently don't even annoy me much because, well for one, they look great, sweet and sensual but not too smutty (which makes the manga suitable for yaoi newcomer)... the dialogues and angles aren't recycled, but also not overdone... regarding common sense, it's the yaoi world and they're hormonal high school boys so I don't blame them lol
the art, what u see in the cover is what you get, yes it's that pretty and it suits the sweet story well
my only complaint is that (many are gonna disagree with me on this) I wish the story was longer (yes the main pair), I don't know, it's just one of those that I can just carry on reading forever - I guess even I didn't expect I'd love the characters that much
so there u have it, I'd recommend it to all yaoi-lovers... it's a great past-time story

I started to like this author when reading Koisuru Boukun, but Silent really caught my intention. I love the characters' way of thinking and the story in general!! ^_^
PS: There are only 2 volumes and the serie is completed!! So don't think a third volume will be coming out...

I really like the way things are going, and the way things have gone so far. The author does a good job of keeping a balance between the main characters' story and the romance between their friends. And the ukes in this series are not annoying, which is of course great....

This it definitely got my attention and could really stand out! It's the best I've read in a long time.

Since everybody said only good things, I have to also comment on the bad side. For me, it's kinda repetitive. Not that Takanaga Hinako-sensei couldn't make the simple plot interesting even though it's not the most new one. But it got too long...and she just had the perfect solution, which was foccusing less on the main characters. But then I felt like it SHOULD be longer, because I wasn't really satisfied with only that much about Sagara and Kagami...

Satoru is one of the cuttest ukes I've seen in my life, I have to admit. They're usually so noisy and cheerful that gives me chills. So Toono-chan is the first THAT quiet uke I've seen. He's not the type to be like that because of embarassment, and once together with the seme gets all overexcited.
The only reason is his lack of success to express his emotions, which turns out greatly for us because of his thoughts and chibi faces.

I like the way he expresses his love for Tamiya because it's got more to do with actions (even the little ones) than saying it out loud. Still, I love the way he developed throughout their relationship. He even gets to say the right things at the right time.

Tamiya is not that new of a seme, but the fact the he's comprehensive to the extent to understand Toono so deeply really gets him some points. I like especially when he loses control and gets angry or in need to harass Satoru ♥

A good point also is the way things get twisted around so easily. Like Machida, for example. Each of them have their own thoughts, and I thought I had everything figured out by the end of the chapter, but it actually didn't turn as I expected. Positively.

As for the other characters, they're all great! I really didn't mind when it got deeper into Yuu, because I love the "I'm just pretending to be tough" kinda uke. But that's 'cause I totally love tsunderes.
And...I FREAKING ADORE Kagami. He's probably my favorite character!
Oh, and the main characters getting involved in their relationship couldn't be any better! It's so funny! <3

I was just about complaining over sex in each chapter (which is something I, strangely, don't enjoy), but it is so sweet it makes it kinda okay. It's not the typical cliché situations, so each of their statments has a great meaning to it.

Well, Bukiyou na Silent is REEEEEEEALLY recommended!

Bukiyou Na Silent is my favorite manga out of all Takanaga-sensei's works. I mean,,it's sooo addictive, the story is great, and the characters are amazing!!! They just makes you feel peaceful and lovey-dovey. I love every second of it, it's amazing how Takanaga-sensei's puts it all together, you have a handsome baseball player falling for an artist that had a crush since forever. They finally got together, and the story went on with hot hot sex scenes. Ughh! I love it! Especially when Keigo kissed Toono's nose when they were snuggling each other. Oh!! So devoted. I love Takanaga-sensei's art, they're the BEST!!!

Toono-kun is the cutest uke ever!

This is one of my favorite mangas because of how adorable and cute Toono-kun is. I love how he has a problem with saying his thoughts out-loud and showing his emotions (the way it's written), that makes him so different from other yaoi manga characters and I just want to grab him out of the story and hug him. I love the character of Tamiya, too. The way he kept trying to understand Toono-kun and how he fell in love with him. I saw someone complain about the length of the story and I have to disagree with that person. This story is special and the more I can get of Toono and Tamiya, the happier I'll be.

Totally agree with what you all wrote. One thing that makes Takanaga Sensei's mangas so attractive and addictive is the unique combination in the couples' personalities. The plot of the story may or may not be the most important, but the interactions and relationship between the two main characters always bring a special feeling to the readers.

Bukiyou na Silent is so far the only story among Takanaga Sensei's works that gives me an extremely "sweet" feeling whenever I read -- the feeling like when you are going out with someone you are deeply in love with.

*Takanaga Sensei's mangas are very worthy to keep. Currently I have two sets -- Challengers and Little Butterfly, and I am waiting to order the rest of the licensed. Really really hope that Bukiyou na Silent will be finished and licensed soon in the future.
