It started out good...

I got pretty ticked off reading this manga, I wanted to throw my computer out the window. Thank god these are not real people or I would probably punch them for acting so ridiculous. There is more to life than being with the one you love ESPECIALLY if he is already with someone else!! Like seriously how many love triangles did she need to put in there? Yeah, I realize I could have stopped reading but then I would have been curious as to how it would end. It started out pretty decent, I thought I would really like this manga even though the drawing style wasn't to my liking. The characters were easily distinguishable and the plot seemed good but she couldn't follow through. Everyone was after someone else and it was all a jumble. There wasn't anything else to the story but frustrating dates and break ups. All in all I am very disappointed that I wasted my time reading this, hopefully her other works won't be this bad.

mixed feelings

It's good, as in, it's pretty realistic. It's not as cheery and dreamy as most other shoujos. In fact, it's almost slightly dark. Just slightly though. I've always had a love-hate relationship with these kind of manga.

Art's pretty decent too, though her proportions are a tad off sometimes.

I disliked it mainly due to the main characters. That single-mindedness can be good at some points, but the way Sachi blatantly ignored those feelings around her made me pretty pissed. Then again, as i've said, it's pretty real and i guess it's a known thing that people can tend to be blind when faced with such issues.

Recommended for people who love a more realistic shoujo plot and can take obstinate main characters.

Teenagers do have better stuff to do...hopefully?

Starting off with all the love you/love you not stuff I thought it would get better if I kept reading on, and maybe reach a bit of stability and the readers could get to see some development in the relationships, but after about 5 volumes it's still the same, at square one. Not to mention I don't find the main character the least bit attractive, although she's shown to be caring and nice.
Honestly, I think teenagers do indulge in other interests, other than living their life based on relationships, or maybe I'm mistaken?

I passionately hate this manga. I wanted to kill of most of the main cast. All I want is two people to fall in love and stay in love for more then 3 seconds. I LOVE YOU/ I HATE YOU/I LOVE YOU. So damned annoying. The only saving grace is Akahoshi. Go Akahoshi! Read Kimi ni Todoke - same author WONDERFUL STORY!

Its so childish for the heroine to keep loving the same guy who does not love her and she does not move forward.. So lame

I wish they'd MAKE UP THEIR MINDS ALREADY!! Golly. I never really completely liked Akemi. I feel that she is really indecisive and is always running away from her problems.

I really love this manga, for some reason each character has qualities that done in any other way, with less technique would make you hate them. However the Manga-ka executes this manga in such a way that it makes it impossible to hate a character, despite their flaws or their short comings I find myself being able to understand each character very well.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
-its a slight spoiler not a huge ending spoiler read for character analysis
Take Yuki and Akemi, their relationship seems based on the past, righting the wrongs, trying to re-live some passionate time of their life. However I feel this cannot be done and is why both have strong ties to their current romantic interests, (Sa-chan and Yuuhei) its why although they love each other they feel drawn to these two more suitable people because they are more suiting to who they are now.

That aside, I like the drama this manga has, I like its pacing and sure the ending is one big cliché, but if this was taken out of context and put over a series of years, I reckon that it is more possible for the first love to come to be the last love. That being said if this manga were to stretch over years it would be 10x longer and I'd probably die from waiting for chapters biggrin all in all a beautiful read.

I am the kind of person that no matter how bad the manga I have to finish it. Its not like this is HORRIBLE per say, but man the characters are soooooo annoying. ALL OF THEM are indecisive, heartless, and then guilty about their decisions. If your going to reject someone own up to your responsibility and leave them alone so they could move on!!

absolutely hate the ending.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I wanted her to be with Akahoshi!! Damn it! It's so friggin' annoying that Yuki gets to have her. AKAHOSHI!!! *bawls out* Damn it.

Anyway, as for my take, this is a good story, but I just didn't like the predictability. I think a lot of the fans would have been happier if it "went the other way around", so to speak. But good manga nonetheless. smile
