Description
Energetic and strong-willed, Beni doesn't care if she lives or dies as long as her death will result in embarassing her arrogant father! But one day, she suddenly encounters Kagetora, a ninja who's fallen from the sky and swears complete loyalty to her -- as her bodyguard. Kagetora has time traveled from a long, long time ago, and has devoted his life to protecting Princess Beni. Little does Kagetora know that this Beni is not the real princess... Can true love and honor survive after a centuries-long time warp -- in a crazy modern world?

I'm on the fence

I really like this story. But it just seems to be dragging and getting more and more complicated. (Not that complicated isn't a good thing) but I'm feeling like I'm loosing sight of what the real plot is.
As the story goes on I feel like Beni is more in her own little world with her new plot line and Kagetora is still trying to solve the one she left behind.

When the story first started out, I thought it was decent; it was amusing enough, but didn't really hold my attention (That happens a lot whenever the main characters get together too quickly, since I'm never really interested by the character's tribulations after that).

Once the time-traveling took over the story (and especially when

Beni went into the past and met little Kategora
) I felt like the manga really picked up, and now it's one of my all-time favorites. :3

I know a couple of people who reviewed below me said that the manga got worse after the beginning... but I've got to argue that it got a whooole lot better. Make sure you give it a try, because you'll probably love it. I do. XD <33

I like the first part of this manga but I'm finding it hard to hold my interest. The art is well done but it seems to be dragging in some areas and leaving wholes in others. Hoping it picks up it's pace and reels me in. Otherwise, I might be the fish that got away.

Kagetora is one of the most adorable male-leads of all time.
Seriously.
He's like a Labrador puppy. Adorable, yet kind of pitiful with big, cute eyes.

On the other hand, the story seems to try to make too much out of itself. It is cute, lighthearted and enjoyable, but lately the plot is becoming a little over the top and the cuteness factor is being sacrificed.

Turn back TIME!

This story's good. It was nice reading to the part that Kagetora time-travelled into the future to protect who he thought was the the real Princess Beni when actually, it was the princess' descendant. But I honestly thought it was sort of different to have Beni and Kagetora travelling back to his time and she fell into a time when Kagetora was younger. That part was nice. smile

I enjoyed reading the first volume of this, but I just couldn't get into the second volume, I don't think I'll be continuing with the series. I guess I wasn't expecting for the fighting/drama from the past to come back to the present, and would have preferred more of a 'man from the past learns to live in the future' type storyline.

The male characters are quite sexy overall, but the artist often gives them very weird expressions.

I really enjoyed reading Shinobi life. The male characters are hott! The female lead character is not annoying either. It's nice to have a female character that is not whiny all the time. The manga keeps me on the toes. It has a nice story, nothing too special, but still a good. It has really sweet romance. which i absolutely like.

The synopsis turned me off many a times. But just happened that one day i got bored enough and started reading it.

Honestly, it's interesting enough, ninjas, time travel, hot guys, family circumstances. Mmmm..

While it's not a great story, it has a nice flow to it and i like how the main guy is not a rash idiot and the main girl is not overly indecisive and whiny. She is rather real, not too gusty but yet with enough pride in her to want to live her life her way.

One grip though, but really, it applies to all those time travelling mangas. I am quite a firm believer of the whole chaos theory/butterfly effect thing. Thus, the fact that they have been running across eras with no care and no effect whatsoever is highly disturbing for me.

Though i do admit, i suppose it's precisely due to this ability that this manga is somewhat different from most other typical shoujos. Also, i love how the present and past were juxtaposed and how she emphasizes on the fact that though it's a different time, the rules of time have never changed for them. It's a sad but pretty theme for me i guess.

Still, if you're not such a big nerd about the issue like me (i like my plots to actually make some sense) but instead would like a nice fluffy read with hot guys, read on.

just like everyone else..i thought that this one is not so great but you'll get hooked to it. maybe because the flow is really flowing.. smile i was a bit annoyed about the parent things but i guess there is a story why are they like that. the romance has a good feel to it too. i usually don't like fantasy based manga but this one blend with the plot so smoothly it was really all good.

got really better!! The main girl character is not that annoying(which is a big plus for me...I CANNOT tolerate shojo girls swooning every other second or being extremely dense to the point of insanity). Though Beni does have her "over dramatic" moments, she is far more realistic and (thank god) far less dense than most shojo female characters I have seen.
Though it does somewhat follow the typical knight-princess storyline (which was why I was reluctant to read it at first), the time travel part of the plot was really interesting, which was to my surprise since a lot of time travel shojo plots fall flat.
The plot has been really building up from the first few chapters and I am really looking forward to the rest.
