In the middle, it became muddy

Just when I can enjoy a good series, thinking the author's storytelling is at its top form, it all crashes down in the middle and I was really frustrated by the characters' action. With so much misunderstanding, I don't find it sweet that he kept the truth away from her. I read all the way to the end to see if my opinion can change. It did...but the story was dragged so much into the mud that it didn't matter anymore.

If you want to enjoy a good story, don't pick this one up.

hmmm i've read this some time ago, just after i finished akuma na eros i think and i was just searching more mangas of this author (i love her style) i have to say tough that it's a hard story, rough actually, but nonetheless it brings up some really interesting problems and it just makes you think...
Spoiler (highlight to view)
i have to say that i was sad at the end, i wasn't disappointed by the ending, i didn't have a reason to be disappointed, but i really was sad seeing that everything crumbles to nothing just when all seemed to get better and they were just getting happy,,,,(i wasn't disappointed because that ending was unexpected and it's not your happily ever after routine...don't get me wrong, i don't have anything against that, but this kind of endings are just off the grid)

bottom line: i recommend it but only if you're sure that your nerves and emotions are up to the task

my first smut manga

i bought this manga accidently when i was 13, because there wasn´t anything about the smut part in the description and it also wasn´t labeled as a 16+ manga, so i could buy it without any complains. I just read it when i came home and that was the point when i started using manga websites (i wanted to finish the series as soon as possible)

The first 5 volumes or so, that was cool. I liked seeing the "deep kindness" side of Hakuron. that twisted plot was great. but from there it just really goes all down hill to the point you just want to slap them and say "wtf, you love each other so just GET OVER IT ALREADY." like, really, how many f-ing times do we have to see you guys try to give kurumi away to some other man. (that's called building yourself a deeper hole.) I can see where the author decides to get all deep with the whole hakuron dying on the wedding as an ordinary man or as a way to atone for his sins, but it was so rushed with mr. what's-his-face-who-spoke-maybe-20-lines-all-series-and-seriously-should-have-mo ved-on-to-some-other-girl... it really seemed like she had no idea how to end it and just did it like that. personally, i think it'd be cooler if they died together. At least then we could have had our happy-sorta-ending. where it is right now, to me it feels like kurumi is just stuck living a lie of fake smiles.

Sex, guns, and mafia. The Perfect Mix!

Now the main character Kurumi, Well she is kinda dumb. But I thought in an adorable way. Some people don't agree (screw 'em)
But I thought this was a very wonderful story.

Now the guy. Hakuron is the sex!! He is amazing. Love him. He's the guy that gets anything he wants no matter the price. And I mean anything -wink-

I was a little effi about the whole story line. For those who are sensitive to adult content, then turn back now while you still have the chance!! Because there is a lot of doin it in this story. But for the rest of you, It was crazy. It was more detailed then kaikan phrase was.(Which actually surprised me)

If you like Shinjo Mayu's other work, you'll enjoy this. Though I do believe that the opening to the story is...well a stretch. They barely made it work. But after that it was all good.

If your into this kinda thing and in for a twist of romance thrown in then ya should read it.

I finished this manga half an hour ago and I still can't stop crying. Yes the ending was horrible and it was pretty raunchy 24/7 but still the ridiculous love they had for each other and the lengths they would go to is reason enough to read this manga

Hoping for a sequel or something similar....

Do you like sexy bad boy bishies? Shinjo Mayu delivers them! Her bishies are drawn the best! Out of all her bad boy bishies, I like Hakuron's character the most. He is ruthless, dangerous, and deadly. A powerful character who ends up falling helplessly in love. This is the usual theme of her mangas and I have a great appetite for it. So I hope she continues to give us more mangas because I know she has great potential. Haou Airen is her best work so far, in my eyes. Because romance development and character build-up requires time I hope her next project is also a lengthy one.

Whereas she spent much time on this series and the plot but I feel she rushed it in some parts and that is why the series did not get the reviews it derserved. Well the ending, for one, was all wrong. Shinjo Mayu creates a fantasy and girls want to wake up from the dream with a smile. So the tragic end really was a disappointment for me. I also feel the ending was rushed and the plot could have been more tightly tied together. If we dont get a sequel for this series, I hope we get a bishie who is just as much of a bad boy as Hakuron in her next series.

I seek to read mature romance mangas. Shinjo Mayu adds a delicious spice of smut and I love that. It ofcourse has to be done tastefully and if the mangaka spends time in building the story and drama then the smut becomes more toxic. No one delivers it live Shinjo Mayu and I love her for it.

it was pretty obvious that Haou Airen was going to be the only mayu work that has the most mixed views.
you could only get through this manga due to the fact that it is so unrealistic and you will hope for a happier time whilst reading it.
all of this doesn't change the fact that it is really hard to digest even after you have completed it.
am a big fan of mayu's work and i must admit even i could handle the messed up personalities and the way of thinking by the main characters. it is one of those manga's you either hate or love or you are left totally confused as to what happened.
plus it's one of those things where once it more than enough. i really cannot see myself reading this ever again.

My Thoughts

I honestly loved most of this manga .. I actually got pretty attached to it from the beginning. Although the part when he was just constantly raping her pissed me off along with that Lei Lan girl. But besides that it was really good. I enjoyed reading MOST of it and I thought the plot was pretty good although they did drag some parts out a bit too much.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
But I though the ending was a really shame. Honestly I was looking forward to a nice ending where they get married and have a kid or something like that (which she should considering the amount of times they got it on) but NO that super gay dude who thinks he can protect Kurumi had to go and wreck it. And then she just ends up with the cat. WTH?! Uber lame that neither of them ended up happy.

I mean I know Hakuron did some horrible things but despite all that drama and lead up to the ending you'd think you would find some saught of resolve. Especially after Kurumi stopped being an annoying prick so rather then being all like "I am unworthy!" or "You are a murderer!" and finally found some resolve.
Well I guess besides the ending it was pretty awesome and I seriously enjoyed it.
