I rarely read shoujo manga because i was bored with a 'similar and common storyline u can find everywhere',, i just picked up this in coincidence,,but hey it's surprisingly VERY good! I never thought it would develop into something sweet and touching... Hehe.. because of this manga, i'm dying to find a 'similar' shoujo manga like this one,, i can't find it till now, but i recommend akuma to love song, it has different storyline but still good to read smile

the story was out of my expectations. i used to think it would be that usual story about this and that presented in different characters, but, i read it anyway............it was a whole lot different than i expected! unfortunately, some cliche scenes can be pointed out but that's okay. most, if not all stories have a cliched part somehow.

the story was interesting at first. i have a feeling because of the arising love triangles, the possibility of stereotypical shoujo will increase. i have no say in that yet, i'll have to see what the author does. the art is relatively good. unlike other shoujo, they have more proportional eyes. the hair is more natural. not only that, the characters have pretty original profiles. the main male lead is somewhat mysterious, quiet, and unpredictable but he's complicated. the female is more realistic than those other heroines. for one, she doesn't cry over whatever happens. she actually takes time to analyze or reflect. she gets jealous and over thinks, but that's pretty natural for any girl in love. the story also focuses on supportive characters and their love interests. that helps balance the story in my opinion.

sadly, the updates are quite slow. other works of author are good, so i suggest you read some of them as well, but take note of some cliche

Gah, I read this like three times and I'm in looooooove. I cried a lot when the love didn't blossom the 1st time. I felt so bad for Futaba but now she has another chance to let her love blossom with Kou. Mm, what will happen when a new guy enters the pictures? At least this will shake up the romance between the main couple.

This is my current favorite manga and I always look forward to new releases! I really think Sakisaka Io is a genius. If you're looking for a really good dokidoki manga like Bokura Ga Ita and Kimi Ni Todoke, this is the manga for you! smile

They are so much alike!! The character's personalities and drawings (meaning the 2 main characters) are the same. The situations they live, like the school trip at the begining, etc...
I'm so happy hehe

I like Touma! He's really cute <3 too bad he's doomed to the role of nice-guy-stuck-in-friend-zone sad Also, who wants to bet that the ex-classmate is a girl who will come to like Kou, if she doesn't already! Well, the setting for a love rectangle is now set and everyone saw that coming. I'm kinda frustrated with Kou actually, i mean why is he acting like a cliched shoujo female lead?! Luckily we have Futaba to save the day. Sakisaka-sensei's female characters may be cut from the same mold, but I enjoy them all the same~~

Best Shoujo Ever - Realistic Characters
by CinderMist

This is my all time favourite shoujo and I'll tell you why - the characters, both female and male, aren't completely stupid like they are in ooooh I don't know, every other girly manga/manwha I've ever read? It's 16 chapters in at this point in time and I have never once had one of those issues where I go, "DEAR ZODD, Why don't you just TELL them that you feel X, or that you are worried about Y, or can't be with them because of Z? WHY?"

Nope, instead, these characters /actually/ communicate with each other, which is the only way a real relationship will work, so it's extremely satisfying to see. Any pauses before communicating that occur are for realistic reasons as well, like extremely personal crisis' that you don't just spout off without any thought.

First of all, OH MY GOD THE ARRRRRRTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so cute and bubbly! It's what made me pick this up biggrin The main character is okay, has a nice personality but is really flat and too prudish. The main guy needs to get more in touch with his feelings for her, as the development could use some work. The UST is a little too pushed. I love the new character Touma, and can't wait to see the love triangle form! I'm also shipping Yuuri and Aya, because I can see it heading that way. Ao Haru Ride probably translates to Ridiculously Predictable Ride, but hey, I can't speak Japanese yet. I can already see how everything's going to end, but no one asks for high quality plot in this recycled schoolgirl shoujo.

Surprisingly Good

The manga is like any other cliche shoujo but what makes this one better than the others is that the pace for the manga is perfect. The plot doesn't drag for like 5-10 chapters and the characters are actually realistic. I love that the characters actually communicate their feelings for each other and they don't just cry and keep everything inside.

There were some parts where I wanted to stop reading because I got boring but as I kept on reading it got better. I hated that the male lead in this manga was so emo throughout the first like 12 chapters but it got better.

Overall its a surprisingly good manga for another typical shoujo manga. I thought that 16 chapters(currently scanlated) would be a fast read but there are like 45+ pages in each chapters so don't be like me and think you can read this in like 2 hours. I recommend people to read this manga.

It started off great, then at chapter 6 I started to get a little bored, but the manga didn't let me escape because it pulled me back in !!I was so disjointed when[SPOILER] when what's her name said that she liked the guy [SPOILER/] but the mangaka wasn't cheap and typical and for once she made that a pleasant thing.

I really like this, its so refreshing and incwedibly sweeet !
Seriously give it a try, I can't wait for more chapters to be released !!

What more can say ?? ...other then amazing.
