It was okay

I really liked it, but this author has a tendency to drag on parts that are...way too serious. I kinda bored me in some parts, but overall I think it's a pretty good manga. I just wish she'd would make each page make you wanna go MORE MORE, but it was like that for only a few pages. -sigh-
Oh well.
But it was good. I got so bored though I skipped to the ending, and it was a cute ending. I love the characters and Norikos personality, she isn't one of those dumb, oblivious, slutty, female leads that always get raped, I HATE those. Plus the guy is really cute!

a 100% great story. this story will forever be in my heart i've read it more than 3 times now ^^ and i don't think i'll ever get tired of it. it is just downright good that <sigh> words fail me. i was really mesmerized by the stories and the characters, this is a good story that will open your eyes to ethereal principles. the characters make a great role model too. each can realate many different types of people. i hope i can convey my thanks to the author, the team, the scanlators, etc ^_^; my whole hearted thanks for sharing this magnificent piece.

I like so much this manga...The best manga ever...Love it.I like the adventures of Izark and Noriko,i love them both. The art is kinda old but it's still beautiful.
I had to update the ratings i had given to others manga 'cuz this manga is among the few mangas that deserve a 10.
So read it,but only if you have time to read it all in one go,'cuz you get so hooked up with it that u can't leave it.
Izark x Noriko=best manga couple ever

Almost skipped class for this one...consented to bringing my laptop with me to class....anyway, i adore this manga...it is a typical girl transported to a strange land story DONE RIGHT! it is an epic win on all fronts...Noriko was not the weak heroine...she was strong from the get go...i loved how the author wrote in the language barrier, that made the story that much more believable! and Izark was so naive it was funny...The art took me a minute to get used to...but i loved the whole lack of a love triangle! yes i hate love triangles....and
Spoiler (highlight to view)
you knew from the get go the other guy had no chance!!
... all in all a great read...off to find all 14 volumes so i can put them on my shelf...

The shoujo series that i love the most. Full of feelings and cuteness, but not cheesy or weak. Even i like the heroine. She is not cool, too intelligent but she is a real girl, adorable, having a big heart and gentle. She is not annoying, always making a big fuss or attracting attention. Instead, she tries not to be a burden, tries to be useful and protect others. We just can't blame her that she is scared of monster or doesn't have the ability to fight. I like it better that she is a ordinary girl. The scene i like best about her is when Izark left her in grandma's house and she thought "I must smile and say goodbye to him". She is indeed strong than other heroine that i've ever read. The plot is attractive too, i can't stop in the middle of reading. And the endings, i love it. I would totally hate it if he came to her world or they parted. This ending makes the series more real and somehow mature.

This manga is deserving of a 10/10.

Yes, the story has been done before, but the way the creator told the story really makes this a keeper. I'm seeing comparisons between Red River (aka Anatolia Story) with this one. Similar but different stories, and I personally think Kanata Kara is better. This one gives off a light, fluffy feeling~~the story and characters are all very sweet, and the underlying meaning is the goodness of humanity. Reading this gives off such a positive feeling.

I love how the romance develops in this story, too. It's not too sudden, and she doesn't fall for the male lead just because of his bishie looks. She's a simple, sweet character that's so different from the annoying female characters that tend to appear in manga. The scene where the male lead confesses his feelings for her while they're inside a forest is just soooo adorable!

This is a definite keeper! You won't regret having this manga in your bookshelf.

Surprisingly... bland

To sum it up: Old traditional art with cliché story. The manga is not bad, it's just that everything in it has been done before and better.
There is very little character development aside from the two main protagonists and there's very few memorable moments in the entire story.
All I can say about this manga is that it's at least functional. I do not understand however how it can receive such a ridiculously high rating which I feel it doesn't deserve.
If you do like this to death, or like the idea in this manga, then I recommend a similar manga Anatolia Story.

it's alright, but Anatolia Story (Red River) is better

So, the beginning is great. I liked the whole language barrier and how they somehow grew to understand each other. That was cute. The artwork is decent but gosh, there's so much room for improvement. The plot was meh. Good beginning, decent end, and once you figure out their identities the middle seemed basically predictable and unnecessary filler. Heroine annoyed me cause she was basically useless; not really any development growth from there.
