Psychologocally complex and mulilayered, but not executed in the best manner

Oh boy, I understand why people hate, literary HATE this one. if you are not ready for non-conformist, difficult manhwa, this one sin't for you. We, as readers, are hardly aware how little we go outside our confort zone when reading, and often find such acts distasteful. One should delve into this with a broad mind, since otherwise the point will be completely missed.

If the charachters in this manhwa were sane people with a normal amount of self estreem, this manhwa would never have been written in this way. Butt here we have damaged people, emotionally severed people, even outright crazy people. And yes, these people are all around us. And what happened here, while a bit over the top and somehow too sadistic towards the uke, is pretty posible in real life. People get back to the people who hurt them. They live with agressors. The simply just go on. Is this smart? No. Mature? No. but realistic? Bloody hell yes. In this regard both seme and uke are frightfully realistic chars. A bit underdeveloped, for sure, but their mental and emotional states are painful to behold. Yule (the seme) is in al probability a mentally unbalanced, sick young man, maybe even a borderline psychopath. The uke is almost a samochist, stemming from his unhappy childhood. They are not the character people often expect from manhwa - strong, capable, know how to do what is bets for them. Quite the contrary, these two are as messed up as can be! Even the 2nd seme, seemingly normal guy, is a borderline nutcase.
But my fave by far is the brother! he doesn't get nearly enough screen time, but he's intriguing as heck and messed up in completely different ways. An strong Oedipal complex and a a hidden BSDM devotee, I would loved for him to get a manhwa all of his own!

But now for the weak points of the manhwa. The story and psychology never quite get to the level they have to be to make this a potent, powerful manhwa. Too much rape, too much suffering, not enough depth. The uke is a terrible woobie, too much so. Literary 10 chapters should have been completely changed to reveal more about the mental states of uke, seme, 2nd seme, brother and sister. This would have made this more palatable to a wider audience and more interesting.
But regardless, this one was more than a boring, bland generic yaoi, and had so many promising points! it does not deliver fully, but still, an inetersting excursion into something more... dark and intense. Rec! just remember tpo keep a wide and open mind and gloss over the unecessary raping scenes.

one of the greatest stories

I have now read the story for the third time and it is simply great, thanks to the author.
Anyone who is mentally unstable or is suffering from depression should not read it.
When i read the comments... i sometimes wonder why so many people keep identifying with the victim role and pretend to understand it. As if they want to be victims themselves and handle things differently. Nobody put themselves in Yule's shoes?
Thank you this is the ending i expected... based on the previous stories... it is one of the greatest stories i have ever read, not many dare to tackle the subject of violence in a relationship. At the end of the day, it's all about love, and too much love can be hurtful and destructive.
If Kyung-soo's love for Yule wasn't strong enough, he would have been emotionally broken and would have left him, reported him or killed himself.

No logic

So, one of the worst series I've read, characters, storyline (If you can call it a story at all) nothing to like, no consistency, no logic, rape after rape and so on without any reason... And don't get me wrong, I also enjoy toxic/tough topics in series, but inteligene, coherent series that have something to say, not a bunch of crap that doesn't add anything, toxicity overloaded just to shock all readers...and at the end so many things left unresolved, proof that the series was ill-conceived from the start, just to create an another rape based series...

I’m commenting so I’ll remember why I decided to 86 this one:
I was lured here by the gorgeous art on the cover, but based on the comments, I think I should skip this… though I don’t outright hate the portrayal of rape in stories, depicting it as something on the level of stubbing one’s toe & having the abused party stay in a relationship with the rapist… I think not only the characters, but perhaps the author needs to see a psychologist as well.
I generally dislike it when stories portray “Stockholm Syndrome” as romance, so this one’s banned for me!

I enjoyed how this manhwa handled rape and PTSD, but it eventually disappointed me with the direction it ended. Despite having endured so much rape from several rapists, it was upsetting to read. Every chapter makes my heart ache, and it shreds my hope because he keeps getting hurt. The thought of rape and abuse being romanticized in this manhwa makes me want to vomit.

I pity Kyungsoo; he did not deserve any of what has happened to him. I only wanted him to be able to live a life without rape and abuse. I'm concerned about the amount of trauma he's experienced, yet he wasn't able to obtain the help he needed. After all that, he deserved a happy ending, but the author refused to give him one. Not even in the alternate ending, which upset me so much.

No plot, only rape

Many many things in this manga have gone terribly wrong. Let's simply start with the plot…
The problem: Which plot?? From the description I expected a story about overcoming a trauma; maybe the cause of the trauma would come up again and stir up things a bit (or a bit more, since the overall mood seems dark). I couldn't have been further away from the truth. The first five chapters were indeed as described. But after that, the story became miserable. This whole long manhwa is solely about rape. I feel like this story was over the course of a year or more and everyday the main character was raped. Seriously, I had to laugh when sometimes there was a trigger warning before a chapter that there would be rape. Damn, the author should've put it before literally EVERY chapter!
I think there was even consensual sex a few times. But I couldn't differentiate between consensual and rape because it was both the same: Not giving a shit about the feelings of the main character, the main character being hurt, crying and begging to stop.
The way the main character was raped again and again made me believe that he'd be happy to never have sex again. Instead it was more like "Oh, today is a day on which I'm not raped! But that's why now I feel pent up and want to have sex with the rapist."
I don't have a problem with the depiction of rape in mangas, but I do have a problem with the way it was shown here. It was neither glorified nor seen as the horrible thing it is. It was shown as a totally normal thing to do and that was what made me feel uncomfortable.
Also, I'd like to cry because I cannot understand how it is possible to put so little plot in so many chapters. The whole story would've fit in 5 chapters without leaving anything important out.

Let's talk about the characters next. Most of them didn't have a personality except being a psychopath. I didn't like even a single character in this story which is an amazing but sad achievement. The servants (later in the story) are such brainless and heartless bastards that it leaves me speechless. The only thing I thought about the main character was "poor thing". But yeah, he dig his own grave. His way of thinking is so twisted and awkward that not seldom I was left thinking that maybe he's actually a total masochist and this whole thing is just an act (which is a shocking way of thinking about rape). It took me until the end to grasp that what he said to Dong Hyuk in the beginning was what he really meant and not an excuse to protect him (I had a little bit of hope because of that sentence but in reality it was just naive me who read too much into his words). I expected some character growth or at least a mental breakdown — neither happened. Even Dong Hyuk, who makes a good impression, is a jerk deep inside. Still less a jerk than all the psychopaths though.
I don't want to say too much about the ending so as not to spoiler you. Just be aware that the ending is as shitty as the rest of the plot. Don't expect a wonder.

Last but not least, the art. I cannot say it's very great but I also cannot say it's bad. It's unique. Usually I can even read very old or bad art styles and forget about the style sooner or later. In this case I couldn't forget it because there were always things catching my eye. For example the glasses of a character being a 3D model. I'm totally fine with using 3D things to make drawing easier or even using them for backgrounds. But in this case the drawing style was so different that I noticed it again and again which was annoying at some point. Still, the art style being unique and good made me give this manhwa a 2/10 instead of 1/10.

My conclusion: Skip this one. Seriously, it will not do you any good. If you like dark storys and want to read a Webtoon with rape, then read The Warehouse instead.
And if you are even the SLIGHTEST bit wary of rape (even if only depicted in mangas): Definitely don't read this. Please, just don't.

This story has some severe abusive themes, and many people won't make it past the 40ish chapters. Defiantly not for the weak of heart. The ending for me was the thing that sealed the deal. I had such a love hate relationship with the ending. In any case I would never want to be in MC's place.

Honestly, it starts off as feeling terrible for the MC, but ends with the MC being so annoying that you just want to scream “figure it the out, for your own good!”, and can tell where they actually help to escalate more madness in people that are already mad. Maybe a BPD/ Stockholm Syndrome combo going on here, paired with attracting rapist Narcissists. Crazy.

So much rape

Legit this entire Manhwa is just filled with rape and sexual abuse. Anyone who has experienced sexual abuse or rape would vomit at the first few chapters. Like does our mc have Stockholm’s syndrome or what?!

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
DESPITE RAPING THIS DUDE OVER AND OVER, HE STILL CHOOSES TO STAY WITH HIS RAPIST INSTEAD OF THE GUY WHO IS NORMAL AND ACTUALLY LIKES HIM. sorry it’s legit so damn disgusting and can’t take it. This is like on a wayyy different level than killing stalking. Like in KS at least Bum actually loves Sangwoo, in this one the mc DESPISES the dud and stays with him anyway. ALSO MC GETS RAPED LIKE IN LEGIT EVERY OTHER CHAPTER. LIKE JESUS CHRIST BRO, CALL THE FUCKING POLICE. ohmygod it is so frustrating, despite putting up with so much fucking rape (FROM MULTIPLE RAPSITS), mc doesn’t even get that much of a happy ending. I REALLY just hoped the author would put the mc with the nice guy as a side story or alternate ending BUT NO, all we get is a guy who got dumped cuz his crush preferred a rapist over him. He deserves way better like tf.

CONCLUSION =
PLEASE DONT READ IT . It’s for your own good. Life was better before I read this crap. FYI people with sexual trauma SHOULD NEVER READ THIS. This comic is so fucking frustrating and the ONLY good point Is the art style. They glorify rape in this Manhwa, honestly pretty disgusting yknow? Reading this was torture to my soul.
