Lost Potential

First season was good, fun romance/action/harem manga even with all the blatant cliches(really obvious and overused ones as well), but then this second season added more characters and tried to make a real storyline that turned out to be worse than cliched, it was bad. Still it progressed somewhat and then volume 8 onward came and it just became another mediocre manga with a crappy "save the world" storyline that hit some of the worst action cliches known. Not to mention the painfully slow pace it takes with everything. I've given up on this series about chapter 40 and unless you're really a massive fan of generic action mangas I advise noone to read past around volume 6-7. Disappointing turn for a once fun manga.

great manga, amazing harem, comedic, with a romance that will be remembered. Rosario was one of the first mangas I picked up and am happy to say that I'm a devoted fan and Akihisa never disappoints me

I thoroughly enjoyed Season 1. I was enjoying Season 2 okaaaay... And then I stopped reading right before the sports festival. And eventually I read the sports festival. Annnnnnd... Then I finally moved this from my reading list to On Hold.

I just DEVOURED Season 2 from volume...6? all the way to chapter 51, which would be volume 11 or more. I am SO glad I did. For myself, because I feel things deeply, I'm also glad I waited to read everything in one big CHOMP, because the repetitive cliffhanging stress would have been too much for my emotional muscles in certain places over time.

Wow. I am just simply...impressed.

Maaaaaan, I feel sad for Chrome or how ever spell her name is english. She her feelings for tsukune won't reach him at all. Sooooo sad. sad And she is my fav character too. I hate how volume 9 ended with such cliff hanger. And Vol.10 is out now(In japan) . I can't wait to buy it~
P.S. I bought the books for the drawing and not the story because this person's art is Jizz in my pants LOL. But, I realized story was freaking awesome feel in love as soon as I started reading volume 1. Oh my God.

Like it like it

I like this manga. When I was cathing up on the old chapters it was really really addicting, but right now it's kinda slow paced (there is something happening in every chapter, but not really connected to the main plot line). I think when this manga is finished and you can read it in one go, it's going to be just AMAZING, so I suggest waiting till it's done.

And all the girls whining about Tsukune not being able to choose, blah blah... This is not your typical no-plot-shoujo in which after 2 chapters, the male lead proposes to the female lead for god knows what reasons. This is harem and shounen. If you want cheesy romance, go read twilight.

best balanced manga

It's the best balanced manga. The action, comedy, harem, and ecchi content just placed at their place properly. It blend the action with the harem plot very well. sometimes you can see Tsukune as a pathetic typical harem protagonist, sometimes you can see him as an alpha male who did a good job protecting his colony. The ecchiness rate also didn't went overboard.

It's enjoyable, easy to understand, and it's one of those manga which is a harem yet the main protagonist doesn't look pathetic as the time passed. It's good for you who are into harem plot but can hardly bear the pathetic main protagonist.

It's not good to read it if you're a girl, pure action freak, Ikeda Akihisa hater, deep romance lover, into heavy material plot, or person who have fun seeking this manga flaw though.

Oh, of course you should read it's prequel before you read this sequel.

Disappointing

I really hate the fact that Tsukune can't man up and tell Moka that he loves her, and the other girls in his harem, that they don't have a chance, and they should seek out other men that can actually love them back.

Great series, unpredictable

Rosario + Vampire, the original series, was great. After it started winding down Tsukune was given powers, along with what was arguably one of the greatest battles in an ecchi manga ever.

Series 2 started off alright, and Inner Moka had a much more important role and a crime syndicate(if you can call it that) was introduced. However, after that the series has been a random collection of events that don't tie with the story. The recent one, depicting Moka's past, actually has some relevance to the characters, but it's taking just way too long(I think we've been in that arc since the year started off.

Excellent Ecchi!

I consider this manga, along with the prequel, to be an excellent example of awesome ecchi. The characters are all adorable, with their own bizarre quirks (my favourite is Ruby-chan!) It's got monsters, pretty girls and random intense action. The thing I see people disliking is the flow of the story. It's almost like a filler manga with continuous random events, some important and some not. To me this comes across as the author just really liking to draw ecchi girls and battle scenes (which is fine with me). I've come to love this random style seeing as you never know what will happen next! Athletics competition! Day at the beach! Battle with ultimate scary demon thing! It really has all the most colourful situations, and you're sure to have at least one favorite out of the harem. Frankly, no one reads an action ecchi expecting the bad-guys to triumph over good. So why not have fun with it? That's what I feel the author did, and I can't wait to read more.

I can't really give an expert opinion because this is only the second manga/anime that I have picked up on... But as for an honest opinion (as a writer and reader myself) I love the fact that the storyline is serious but pushes being on the soft side. I would loved to see more of the entire cast to be working side by side rather than every chapter or episode focus on one character's particular challenge (with a few exceptions). Mainly it's a series that I can't put down and can't wait for the next scan (and possibly a third anime season) to come out!
