I hate Mahou Sensei Negima! i dunno why though really it just got extremely annoying after awhile because nothing really happened for the longest time just a bunch of shenanigans, i also got annoyed by tu-LOVE-ru for the same reason the had a whole bunch of crap episodes that had nothing to do with the story line just to elongate the series.

Man...you must fail at reading because so MANY things happened. The so called "shenanigans" only account for a few chapters.

I'm gonna repeat myself by requesting that this thread be renamed to "What you think are the worst animes/mangas out there?" or imply a new rule that states real reasons must be provided for the criticism (no, "uninteresting" doesn't count as a real reason - just because a certain series is not of your tastes, doesn't mean that it is a terrible series. It just means that you don't like it.).
It doesn't HAVE to be a professional criticism, but at least explain a little further on why that certain anime/manga may be "the worst" out there.

Just to be clear, I respect all your opinions, but in a discussion to find "the worst", leave them aside unless you back them up with examples on why that particular series may be so.

Let's be fair and clear, guys.

So bad, I would not wish this upon the worst of the my enemies.

Fruits Basket...put money into buying it up to vol 13...was so pissed when i found out how it ended...plus i hated Tohru...now i'm trying to sell off my volumes...Baby Pop....made it 11 chapters and nearly died....

Fate/Stay night anime. The only anime that I haven't finished watching. Normally, I'll finish even bad anime but this one was just too bad for me. Arc the Lad: I don;t know why, but I always felt I was watching a rough idea version of Eureka7, and the old guy with the eyebrows was a lame version of Gonzy, A Gonzy lite version. Air gear anime: terrible. Animation was terrible, Censored up the ass, and things were rearranged all over the place that just ruined what little plot it had. As far as manga goes: Initial D. At first it was fun, but now its just become monotonous and dull. Zero character development. Unless you think of the the 86 as a character, that is. Let me change that comment, zero human character development. And about the only dialogue happening in every chapter is someone explaining the race in a very dull fashion.

Hot Gimmick 12 vol nice art shoujo which made me hate shoujo for a long time. This is the most annoying story I have ever read that contains all the worst case in shoujo and a most pathetic heroine but somehow it reached to 12 vol.

You know, I'm beginning to think the problem everyone has with Hot gimmick is a just another gimmick of shoujo manga to make it seem controversial. Hot gimmick isn't the only series where a girl is head over heels for an abusive asshat, it just gets the most attention because the girl went from one abusive guy straight to another who apart from not trying to have her gangraped may have beeen just as bad as the last guy.

With that alone, I wouldn't say it was the worst. It got you to read the whole thing and it made you hate all the characters because they suck as people, but as characters in a book, I think they did their job. To me that seems like a good story, however much I ended up hating it. Which I did hate.

the reason I hated Mahou Sensei Negima is due to the over-the-top pantie flashes and bra shots that were subjected to me over and over again, the main character, helpless guy(forgot his name) couldn't even do anything without causing a commotion with the girls, his magical powers only use seemed to be was to get an erection. Don't forget the girl he falls in love with, she was one minute totally airheaded-to really angry-to compassionate-back to angry. That was one girl with the WORST case of PMS I had ever seen and the guy still fell in love with her??
The reason I think it's a bad manga is the first volume made me frustrated to no end, and I do enjoy shounen, heck, I got through Ranma 1/2!! and Loved that! I hope this helps

It started out okay, and from the summary you can tell that there is going to be a good amount of love triangle-type drama, but Good Lord. Starting in about the fourth volume, the protagonist started crying in every chapter (alright, maybe not every chapter, but I doubt anyone will want to go back and actually read the thing to prove me wrong. Besides, its a close enough estimate) Add to this the fact that its over 20 volumes of this same routine and it gets OLD. Plus it contains nearly all of the shoujo tropes that I hate <-read that as in "I hate them with the firey passion of a thousand suns."

Okay, for one of the worst anime I say Saiunkoku Monogatari, I kinda like the manga EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE LOOKS THE SAME ARG. But the anime was terrible, some of the worst animation ever, basicly it was like watching the manga in color except SLOOOOOWLY and even then the still frames weren't drawn that well either. Runner up is Skip Beat's anime for most of the same reasons above, but I adore the manga!

And wow I think every series I like was listed here, I even saw Cowboy Bebop on here (WTF), just because Adult Swim has been replaying it constantly for 5 years doesn't mean it's bad. And geez, you have to give Bleach and Naruto props guys, most of us here has been obsessed with either (or some other "mainstream" show) at one point (as much as you'd hate to admit it) we're just not their target demographic anymore.

The list goes on.

A lot of manga suck. No surprise there.
