I need some good shonen manga. I've just finished my finals, and I can finally de-stress! Woohoo!! (well technically I have one more paper, but it's next Monday so... MEH!)
I've read the typical ones, like Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, etc. I prefer complete mangas, but it's not all that important. Yes, feel good mangas make me happy. ^^ But I can handle the occasional gruesome. Like Battle Royale! That was a pretty awesome manga. I don't like mecha (sorry) or ecchi (I don't need male fanservice).
Thanks a bunch!
(Oh, and on the side note, right now I'm devouring shoujo mangas like a maniac! Which is why i feel the need to counter with some shonen mangas . But if you guys have some good shoujo recs, I can't say I'll complain! I like feel good mangas for some reason. One where the female isn't all weak and weepy. Can't stand those. )

Flame of Recca, its excellent, and its 33 solid volumes.
G.T.O. is something I personally feel everyone should read, it's 25 volumes.
Oh, and Rurouni Kenshin is quite good, too, at 28 volumes.
These should take you awhile to read.
If you're looking for something thats long and good, but still ongoing, I would give my highest recommendation to Hajime no Ippo. It's currently ongoing at 83 volumes, and trust me, if you start reading, you'll know why.

*looks at own list*
One that isn't so typical is Cristo, because it's short. And Wolf's Rain, which isn't completely scanlated, but you can probably find the actual licensed book.

It is good, even if a bit (a lot) repetitive.
Have you read Shonan Jun'ai Gumi ?
I personally liked it a lot more. The first few volumes are gold.
I rarely find myself laughing out loud when I read manga.
Eikichi and Ryuji are both hilarious in it...
For those who don't know Shounan Jun'ai Gumi is GTO's prequel.

Definitely gonna check out Shonan Jun'ai Gumi! I meant to read it when I was still reading GTO, but... I forgot.
Thanks for the recs! I've read a few so far, but not all. Death Note, GTO, School Rumble... And Kaioh, I agree... GTO is something everyone has to read! I used to get stitches on my side while reading it.
Yerp, time to go hunt these mangas down. ^^ Keep em' coming guys! And thanks so much!

Shounen:
Monster, Pluto, Threads of Time, Dango, D. Grayman, Dawn Tsumetai Te, Black God, King of Thorns, Kiseijuu, and Kekkaishi are all good shounen titles in my opinion.
*One Piece is my favorite shounen series, but you might not like the art.
Shoujo without the weak woman:
Skip Beat! is my favorite. Oh, and Kyouko (the protagonist) is definitely not weak.

I love Kyouko from Skip Beat as well! She's one of my favourite female characters in a shoujo manga.
And i love one piece, are you kidding me?? I got used to the art straight away too.

If you liked Battle Royale, you'll probably like Gantz.

Yay! I get extremely happy when people don't mind One Piece's art since I've heard people say, "The art offends my eyes." Lol, I got used to the art right away too.
