I'm looking for a character who is like the west African folklore about a very cunning spider called kwaku Anansi.

Anansi is lazy and everything he does is to either preserve his life or to allow him an easy one. he doesn't like working, he is physically weak and though he is intelligent it isn't impossible to out smart him.
His true asserts in life is his Cunningness and diligence in carrying out his schemes.
his cunning ability knows know limit and essentially that is how he survives by deceit.

that's a hard request. I'm not sure how close these mangas are.

Trick Ster - lazy, homeless girl goes around playing pranks, manipulating people. She's not particularly strong, and she's fairly smart, but not infallible.
One Outs - not sure about the lazy bit, but key gets by outsmarting the people he comes across.
Liar Game - Male lead (very good at fraud) helps a girl competing in a series of mind games.

I can't help but think of Nara Shikamaru from Naruto. He is very lazy & intelligent.

ONE PIECE's Usopp also comes to mind, but it is hard to call him smart. Oh, wait, what about Nami, although she is a girl?

Come to think of it, Kodomo no Jikan's heroine is quite cunning, too, but she is not lazy, and don't get me started on Onii-chan Control's female lead.
