If you're not picky about the genre as long as it includes music then yeah, a category search would yield the most results. Some manga I know of is sayonara piano sonata, Lonesome echo (music is not it's main focus, but a detail of the story), and the oneshot Hearing the sound of bells. Also, the oneshot I am a piano is cute.

Kaikan Phrase, which is not in the category list. This is a shoujo romance about a popular rock band and the high school girl who becomes their lyricist and the love interest of the lead singer. If you like this, also try Love Celeb about an actress/would-be idol, in which the singer makes a cameo. Kaikan Phrase inspired an anime and two actual bands. The anime is worth watching on its own, as it tells a different story - it is more about the rise of the band than the soap opera romance. The music is even good.
