Pretty much anything has romance as a subplot. I'd say that the ones with a very relevant romance plot are for me Toradora! (novel), which is quite good, Haganai (novel), which is ok, NHK ni Youkoso! (Novel), good, Gosick (novel), good, Golden Time (Novel), it's ok, Oreimo (novel), good/ok. If you consider "harem" a "romance", then Campione! (novel) too.

This is one of my favorite series. And the romance is actually a part of the story, it's not just annoyingly hinted at.
Hakushaku to Yousei (Novel)

Gu Fang Bu Zi Shang (Novel) is also pretty gosh darn good.
And Sugar Apple Fairytale (Novel) is suppose to be really good. Just the prologue is translated so far, but I'm thinking you should keep your eyes on it. The manga version of it is really good.
