Seeing as I am bored out of my mind, I will take any suggestions that I can get

Some outlines of my tastes.

I like romances, but not too mushy. In fact, I prefer seinen romances.

Music is always a good thing. Read Nodame, Beck, Bremen, Othello, and have 0 interest in La Corda

No mecha and scifi only if it is the best manga ever made

I don't want things that are violent or action packed that are so for the sake of violence or action

Basically anything realistic with an interesting story, not too heavy either.

Ii Hito
Holy Land
Hot Man

Ii Hito and Hot man are more slice of life and kinda what you're looking for.

Holyland is basically action but brilliantly explained and highly technical.

More like something realistic. No gory horrific stuff, nothing really grotesque. Just realistic. That is the main selling point, I guess. I don't want post apocalyptic epics, more like a cathartic melodrama, neh?

Maybe Vagabond, fairly realistic, it is centered around a guy trying to become the best at sword play, so it fairly violent though.

Theres also REC for a romantic senien, or Angel Densetsu if your looking for a good comedy. If your really after realism without the intense melodrama Genshiken is a good slice of life you might find appealing, or maybe the comedic school life inGreat Teacher Onizuka is more your thing.

Edit: I know I really only suggested main stream that we've all seen 5000 times before, but you have a really small list, so I figured you might not have actually read these (and there are reasons they are popular)

Read Detroit Metal City yet? It´s music related (parody most accurately, about metal, it´s funny).
20th Century Boys
Monster
Vinland Saga
are good titles too.

Blood Alone is classified as Seinen, but it should be shounen since it is published in Dengeki Daioh, a shounen magazine. It's a good series, but just wanted to point this out.

Good seinen romance:
Hoshi no Koe
Solanin
Emma

Honey and Clover is also very good in terms of comedy and romance. I second Urusawa Naoki's works for a good read. Blade of the Immortal is very realistic, if you disregard the fact that main character can't die my conventional means.

Thanks for your suggestions.

As far as Emma and Vinland Saga are concerned, I generally stay away from manga that deals with western history. Just doesn't click well with me. By the same token, I stay away from western media that deals with eastern history.

Blood Alone looks good.

And isn't Honey and Clover a spinnoff of Paradise Kiss?

Hmm you can try Lament of the Lambs (realistic to a certain degree), Strain (very good art and story line), Blood + (Has some blood and gore but not so much), If you don't mind a Josie you could try Gokusen. Change guy, Chameleon Jail, Nana, 21st century boys (must read the first series), Yatsubato(dont kow if i got the name right) , Yaiba, Doubt, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, Freesia 9is very violent, but it does offer a good read) the ssame goes to smuggler, oh and Sexy voice and robo
hope these help

Hey guys, Instead of making a new recommendation thread, i am just gonna use my old one.

Currently I am looking for BECK doujinshi (preferably non explicit, but it doesn't matter) and some good one shots.

Ok...GO!
