Shoujo/Josei Manga with Shounen Art?

So I've always avoided reading shoujo/josei manga due to the art style that really turns me off. I just find the art really flowerly and dreamy (if that makes any sense). Can someone recommend me a good shoujo/josei manga with shounen esque art that is also a good romance? Thanks

Maybe Meteor Methuselah or Hana wa Knife o Mi ni Matou ?? ....
Sorry if it's not quite the artstyle you're looking for.
Yes yes, I know I make longwinded comments, but that's just me >.<
I should proof read my comments more, but I won't...
So keep in mind I'm filled with typos

I'm not sure that I know what you mean by shounen-esque, but here are a couple with very unflowery art:

Haha just something with more plainer art more outlined art unlike most shoujos that is how do i say kinda of blurry and flowery art style.

How about Horimiya, which is actually shounen but still a rom-com? You might get equally good results if you look for romance-focused manga that's male-oriented--there are quite a few seinen that you would almost believe are shoujo/josei. (Emma, Love Roma, Bonnouji)
Otherwise, maybe Sakamichi no Apollon or 14-sai no Koi?

Perhaps 3 am dangerous zone? Don't know if it suits what you asked though

I second Meteor Methuselah like burning. Especially after the first couple of volumes, when the artist really comes into her own style. The story reads a little like a shounen, what with the interesting and complex plot, but the romance is great. Very, very much worth the read.

I'll second that, It's not too heavy on the sparkly screentones and the story is definitely not typical shoujo territory.
14-sai no koi is pretty mute as far as the style goes.
i would say Bokura no Kiseki, this one is shoujo but romance takes a back seat to the actual storyline (which is very good by the way), and there is some action in it which makes it so its not very flowery.
and maybe 07-Ghost too, though the art style is more on the shoujo side, and the action scenes are kind of confusing at times, the storyline is pretty serious.
you also might like Kurenai Ouji its a shounen romance with some fantasy mixed in with it

Definitely Midori no Hibi Hetakoi Ame Nochi Hare (Bikke) Nijiiro Days (MIZUNO Minami) threads of time
"when you suggest something please don't suggest me like 25 cus I can't go through them all if you do. NO oneshots, yaoi, yuri, shounen ai, ahoujo ai and unless the manga's very good i'm not really into ecchi or fan services. Thank you 🙂 "

KATAGIRI Ikumi's Zanbara! (romance is kinda subdued but art style is definitely different from most shoujos)
Check the authors' pages, they tend to have the same art for their other works.
Also Midori no Hibi is Shounen.
Hetakoi and Threads of Time are Seinen.
