Where there's a previous lover who died like Bokura Ga Ita
I prefer the female one who was left behind but that doesn't mean I won't accept where it is the male.
Also the idea where he/she loved someone else first. Not just 'like', but where they actually dated.
It doesn't matter if it (the previous romance) is included on the first part of the manga or just some flashbacks. Anything will do.
Thanks!

For #1 -
Hachimitsu to Clover - The female in one of the couples is a widow.
For #2 -
Kimi wa Pet - MC dates 'the other guy' first. She's had other boyfriends as well.
Cat Street - The MC dates several guys over the course of the manga.
Udon no Onna - Super cute josei about a divorced woman and college student. No flashbacks in this one but the ex makes appearances.
Koukou Debut - She only goes on one date with the first guy though, so it's a bit of a stretch...

Suna no Shiro
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The one who gets left behind is female (and they were mutually in love and acting upon it). The guy dies in the first few chapters. It gets really tragic... :/

Although I just finished Cat Street a couple of days ago, thanks for recommending it!
I also have a couple of questions.
- I've watched the Korean adaptation of Kimi wa Pet. Is it different from the manga? I found the movie good at first but getting boring towards the end.
- Is the lead in Koukou Debut the annoying type?.. Not sure how to explain this but the typical shoujo female lead type. Because I've read the first chapter and Idk, I just find her annoying. Will it get better?
Just my opinion though.
Overall, I'll be looking at the other two manga you mentioned. Thanks a lot!

I've read the summary/synopsis, and it really caught my attention. Just a question, should I prepare tons of tissues for this?

Re: Kimi wa Pet - I haven't seen the adaptation, so I dunno.
Re: Koukou Debut - I don't view Haruna as a typical shoujo heroine. She's strong and Yoh is weak, so it's kind of a role reversal in which she's the white knight and he's the... princess? (There's a topic on Mangafox complaining about her being too masculine.) That being said, her personality is the same throughout the story, so if she annoys you at the beginning she'll probably annoy you throughout. I would probably not continue if you really dislike her, or try a few more chapters and then drop it if you still dislike her then.

It depends how easily you cry. XD I don't remember crying myself, but I did feel really, really sorry for the protagonist. Also,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
the ending was sad too.

Yes, yes. I'm a bit of a crybaby. I'll go prepare my box of tissues now.
