Well if you're up for some scifi cyberpunk greatness, check out Akira

GTO is pretty great. It's a favorite of many, but doesn't exactly fit what your looking for

Wanting something from Kodansha specifically is a little weird, mind sharing why you want their work?

Check out Gate - Jietai Kare no Chi nite, Kaku Tatakeri for the medieval setting
Berserk is a classic that you have to read, falls in line with the grittiness of Gantz and the middle age setting
Vagabond is another classic, but it isn't exactly what you're looking for either.
Superior is a little heavier on the romance, but a pretty good read

It'd be much easier to recommend stuff if you gave some more about info about what genre you're looking for. Also if you aren't old enough for mature themes, don't read Berserk and to a lesser extent Vagabond or Akira. It's not so much that I don't think they're appropriate (which they aren't) but you won't be able to really appreciate them unless you can fully understand those themes.
Again not trying to be condescending

https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=2111 has a few sequels
https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=1580 has a sequel
https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=574 has sequel as well,,, lol
https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=103618 no sequel yet, still ongoing

^^^none of these have middle ages type settings but they are still pretty good^^^.... I dont know how to do the whole url thing looking like the title... There is also a manga called "blade play" that is a world slip setting in the middle ages, but its a bit like a borderline hentai thing... its funny though lol
