here's another batch of heartbreaking scenes:

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles

when the clones at the last part of the story disappears, and when watanuki pay the price for syaoran to escape the void between time and space... but still, every part of this series has its own "heartbreaking scenes"

Nodame Cantabile

when nodame performs the salon concerto and was waiting for chaiki that never came.

additional for the previous post that i made regarding Piano no Mori

when the lightning hit Kai's beloved Piano in the Forest

SlamDunk
i almost forgot about this

when hanamichi unintentionally passes the ball for the last few seconds to Kainan instead of Gori

when hanamichi trips over his worn out shoes during the practice game between Ryonan and Shohuko

well, i'll just continue to post for more...
(make me want to read suzuka for the 15th time again... because of these heartbraking scenes)

Skip Beat

I can't explain the pain I felt....

When Kyoko was still sho's slave and she was waiting for him to arrive at the dinner table (without eating anything) even after midnight. Also, the way she keeps his photo beside her when she sleeps. Whenever I feel like sho should end up with kyoko, I go back to that scene to feed my sho-hate

The One

My heart broke into a million pieces....

When Eros rejected Lele's feelings to protect her from the cohorts of his biological father. To have someone you love tell you that he only played around because it's normal for any guy to enjoy the attention of a girl, but that you never meant anything to him in the first place. Ah the painnnn.....

Strobe Edge

I cried when...

Ren chose to erase Ninako from his mind when he realized that he has to be there for his girlfriend during a painful moment in her life. He couldn't bear to break up with her just because he found someone he's more in tune with especially since the GF is not as "strong" as Ninako in personality. It broke my heart because I would have done the same thing...."Pity Love" sucks!!!

Midnight Secretary

Any girl will lose her mind when....

The man she's developing feelings for rubs it in her face that he's going to go out to date other women despite that something happened between them already. All Kaya could do during this time was say "understood sir" like she always does, and I can just imagine what that could have felt like. I hated it when Kyouhei was in a state of denial about his feelings for Kaya...

Hotarubi no Mori e - ONESHOT

The whole oneshot was sort of bittersweet... I mean, a little girl who falls in love with a boy who'll die if he's touched by humans is bad enough, but... just... ;A; seriously, the end. Midorikawa Yuki writes some of the most heart-breaking but thought-provoking and adorable things ever.

Natsume Yuujinchou - Midorikawa Yuki

Pretty much every chapter in this series had me in pieces. This series is just ALWAYS moving and heart-rending. Chapter two, for some reason, really stands out.

Nabari no Ou - Kamatani Yuhki

How about everything that involved Yoite? ;A; The most heart-breaking scene, I think, was, ironically, in chapter 51, when, for the first time ever, Miharu just totally breaks down and cries. After 50 chapters of Miharu's slow change from indifference to emotion—and now the person who made him actually learn to feel again is gone... it broke my heart.

Immortal Rain - Kaori Ozaki

Yuca always breaks my heart. He's one messed up kid, but all the suffering he's gone through makes me sad, and the way he still cares for Rain and for humanity is kind of twistedly adorable.

And that's just a few.

Pretty much anything by Kaori Yuki will get me to cry XD.

Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles - (Pretty much all of it in a nutshell, but these are several of the sad parts):

When Clone!Sakura and Clone!Syaoran find out that they are clones. When Real!Syaoran is ignored by Clone!Sakura. When Clone!Sakura get's stabbed trying to break up both Syaoran's fight. Another time when Clone!Sakura gets stabbed by an involuntary Fai. Fai and Kurogane's backgrounds.

xxxHolic -

When Watanuki finds out Himiwari is pretty much cursed with bad luck. When Himiwari and Domeki pay the price to save Watanuki. And when Yuko dies.

Bitter Virgin - pretty much the whole thing.

Kitchen Princess -

When Sora dies, and Najika loses her sense of taste.

CANON -

When Canon learned Sakaki is the one who killed her classmates and turned her into a vampire.
And at the end when Sakaki erases her memories and she tells him that she'll find him again, and she does.

Vampire Knight -

When Zero is forced to eat his own brother, Ichiru. And mainly anything revolving around Zero.

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro -

At the end when Neuro is severly weakened and Yako says: "Go back to the underworld, you stupid Demon. And then come right back." ;A;. I'm so glad that he came back in the end, though. I would've been majorly depressed if he never returned XD.

Parasyte

When Shin met the monster which had murdered his mother and controlled her body in his house... "Mom, do you remember...the burn mark...Everytime I see it I feel so sad....I want to apologize to you..." The monster coldly pierced him through his heart. His eyes r all tears when he collapsed...
I can feel his pain. His heart .... all broken.....

Historie

That's when Eumenes as a child cried after his mother's death...
Eumenes's mother was killed in front of him when he was just a little kid. He saw his mother fighted and then brutally killed without crying. Eumenes lost that piece of memory, he just has the same dream over and over again about the woman who kill various opponents with her great swordmanship, just like she is dancing. He does not know that woman is his mother. When the old servant who witnessed the slaughter that time told him the real story, including the fact that he didn't cry, Eumenes does not show any emotion or sympathy towards his dead mother. He just simply said that he does not remember how he felt that time and will apologize to her when he meets her again in his dream.
People thinks that Eumenes is a wierd kid. The leader of the group that killed Eumenes' mother thought he was special so he took Eumenes as his son. His foster-mother was afraid of him after hearing the story from her husband. How could she raise a strange boy who stared calmly ay his mother's body as her son? But her heart was softened when the boy surprisingly cried...

One Piece

When they had to sink Going Merry. I swear I thought that was one of the saddest moments I have ever witnessed in an anime. Oda pulled that off so well!!

Also, when Mr. 2 decided to sacrifice himself to stay behind at Impel Down. Not as heartbreaking, but still made me feel bad.

Oh, and then when Ace died. One of my favorite characters. I think if I watch this in the anime, I would be crying my eyes out.

I realized I cry a lot when I read manga or watch anime. 🤢 It's because I usually only read and watch things that are in some way close to me: either I'm attached to the characters or can relate well to the plot...

Surprisingly few mentions of Nana. I mean I practically cried through the whole manga. The most touching moments I remember right now:

When Takumi told about Hachi's pregnancy to Nobu over the phone. I mean, poor Nobu, Nana's reaction and of course I felt sorry for Hachi because she knew she was breaking Nobu's heart but didn't know how not to.
When Ren died, naturally. But what touched me more was relating to Nana at that time. Also Reira's amnesia in the hospital somehow broke my heart.
The scene where Yasu suddenly kisses Miu made me cry, since Miu is my favourite character. But that is not really heartbreaking, is it... ^_^; Or in a way I guess it can be, if you think about how Miu finally has found someone to care about her.

I'm sure there are more but I can't think of them.

CLAMP is well known for their heartbreaking storylines. Code Geass was really sad in many levels, but personally I found the relationship between Lelouch and Shirley the most touching. Especially the moment where

Lulu realizes he has to wipe Shirleys memory because he loves her so much and wants to protect her from himself made me cry.

Another one from CLAMP is Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. I think the tragic past of

Fai touched me the most. I loved how the relationships between the characters were built, and am a total KuroFai shipper. One moment I cried my eyes out was

In Tokyo when Syaoran snapped and almost killed Fai because it was just so shocking and unexpected.

About Naruto I think all the heart breaking moments have been said. Well, except the fate of Neji's father: I thought it was really sad.

Oh yeah, Cat Street

When Keito realized that Taiyou liked Hirano. Then when the two girls were crying together in the park and Hirano tried to tell Keito that she'll find someone else eventually... Broke my heart.
Momiji getting turned down in such a cruel way.
The thing with Kouichi leaving his friends because Rei asked him to, even though Kouichi really loved Keito.

Oh my, I'm such a crybaby. -_-;

Fortunately, REAL has a very hopeful undertone. It wouldn't be bearable sometimes, otherwise.

Beck

his death

I cried. Seriously.
But well, I cry when reading tragic passages in books and such from time to time.
