Can anyone find me a good manga where the main character has some weight on his shoulders?

Like he's the cause of something really grave?

It depends your definition of "heavy" , do you want somethine where the MC thinks like this?: "because of me someone died" or "i destroyed someone else future" or are you asking for something where the MC got a insane task or similar to do and is driving him/her nuts? ,

edit: also do you want a long or short story? , seinen or josei? (i doubt threre are shounen/shoujou with "heavy" stuff)

A Fairytale for the Demon Lord (Although this is a Korean Webtoon)
Gantz (Though this is a given)
Dogs: Bullets & Carnage (If I were to remember correctly)
Hoshi no Samidare
Metro Survive
Pandora Hearts

Based upon your loose definition I believe these would be a decent start in a search. A Fairytale for the Demon Lord would likely be the closest thing to 'heavy'.

Seinen:
51 Ways to Save My Girlfriend
Akumetsu
Wolf Guy
Bitter Virgin
Alive - The Final Evolution
Ichigo no Gakkou

Sanctuary (in my opinion one of the best seinen manga out there)

I considered Alive - The Final Evolution and Akumetsu, but didnt know if they had any significant 'weight' on the main character's shoulders; it's been awhile since i've read them, either way they are rather good. Code: Breaker had a rather notable amount of 'weight' on the main character's shoulder, at least up until i've read.

Lol, I literally finished that today. I agree it would loosely fall into the category around the middle part of the plot.
