Hey guys! I'm looking for a manga that has the same concept of Gu Fang Bu Zi Shang. The male character thinks he is so smart or cool, better than everyone else because of his status, but he falls in love with a female he thinks is lower than him without knowing her status. OR he could discover the brilliance of the low class girl. This can be switched into school settings/ modern times.
2.) I'm looking for a manga where the male lead has pure hatred for the female and the female has pure hatred for the male, but through a DEVELOPING romance they fall in love. For example if the ML rapes the FL , she can't forgive him in 3 pages and she can't enjoy the rape. They should probably be forced together under some circumstance and the ML who I would prefer to be the aggressor should fall in love first. Thanks you guys so much! bigrazz

Criteria 1:

Feng Yu Jiu Tian - If you don't mind yaoi... Feng Ming ends up in a fantasy ancient China prince's body. (It's unknown where the real prince went.) The seme thinks the prince as his weak plaything, and treats Feng Ming the same, until he realizes that Feng Ming is much stronger (emotionally) than the previous prince. Feng Ming also ends up impressing him later on with modern knowledge. (I love this series! If you can't get enough, try reading the novel. It's translated up to the start of volume 4 right now.)

Warau Kanoko-sama - Guy thinks the girl as ugly and annoying at first. He's the most popular guy in school and actually thought she was trying to confess to him. Later on he starts to see her good sides? (The romance is pretty slow/subtle, so I don't remember how he starts to like her). She's really clever and unconventional.

If you like this, try the direct sequel Koi Dano Ai Dano. (Think of it more like a part 2.) There's a haughty side character (potential love interest?) that fits your description, but it isn't until the more recent chapters...
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
He tries to put her in her place, but he ends up being shown-up by her. I love her smirks of "ownage," lol. I'm almost 100% sure he's fallen for her at that moment.

I loooove that character so much. I hope he ends up playing a huge role.

Cheese in the Trap - Two-faced rich handsome guy thinks really poorly of the people at his school, including the main girl. I forget, but he described them as "vulgur" or "low-class" (or maybe both? lol). There are even parts where he shows the girl "a glimpse" of how cruel. (I find his "twisted" side really fascinating.) She's a really perceptive character that's smart, hardworking, and different from the usual people he ends up hanging out with. The story is written where it switches from past to present, so it actually takes a while to even get to the events that I just typed. It actually takes several chapters for you to even get to the parts where the girl impresses/changes him, and they're just bits and pieces. It's sooo addictive but painfully slow progression.

Criteria 2:

Kirai - Girl and guy genuinely dislike each other at the start. Girl learns more about the guy and thinks he's okay (but still dislikes some of the things he does). I quit around volume 9, cause wtf, but otherwise not a bad manga. I'm also a bit annoyed how tsundere the female character is though... and I'm not sure if the arrogance level changes.

Personally, I'd really like to see more of criteria 1 suggested. I like these "fall from grace" moments. The haughtier the guy, the better. Especially the angst/self-hate/being wrong moments. Hahaha.

I'd say Gakuen Ouji, it's kind of a strange manga but it's great. biggrin
